Does anybody here share their island with somebody?

I'm just wondering becuz i do with my lil sis! I hate to sound mean though but i dont enjoy it at times becuz she says all the villager I want are ugly or something haha sharing is good though and i hope I'm not sounding to discourage it but it's a bit annoying to have a villager spot taken up and then be told on what villagers i can or can't have
It's really not all bad though! She helps organize the island a lot and her n her friends helped to cut down all our trees so we could have some more space!! And my sister is simply more valuable then a fictional cartoon animal anyways

Overall just wanna know other people's experiences though! And maybe even advice to see if it could be just a bit more easier lol

I share it with my girlfriend.

Although we have creative differences at times, we can still find common ground for our island expansion. We also have divided the villager limit to try and have ones we both like as well as our favorites/wants.

I used to share it with my husband but he recently got his own switch, so now has his own island. What you and your sister could do is go through a list of villagers and see if you two can find 10 that you'd both agree on. It may end up surprising you guys to discover you may actually like a lot of the same villagers!

maybe you guys could split villagers evenly between you? she gets to choose 5 and you get to choose 5!

i share it with my two siblings! i'm the only that mainly plays it, they just joined for the hype of the game, but they don't really interact in the island, so thankfully i don't have to have "creative differences" with them. my younger brother, however, keeps recommending all these villagers to me because he sees them on tiktok and thinks that they're cute. he keeps asking me to kick out genji so we can have tank instead, who is. . . definitely not in the top of my dreamie list. it's not so bad sharing with them - it's actually kind of funny to see how "new" they are to animal crossing. my younger brother only played new leaf for like a month, and my younger sister only played wild world, so they're not used to the mechanisms of new horizons yet.

Oh that's cool!! The division of villagers is a really good idea honestly glad you two end up having a good time with all of it!

Oh yeah a list sounds like a great idea honestly I'll totally do that!! Like there's almost 300+ villagers there will defiently be something agree on with it

Okay this is another great idea im going to do! Overall a thanks to everybody who gave advice the even split will work great!

I share my island with a friend. He's pretty easy going and doesn't care about the changes I make to the island. We both favor cat villagers, so we know what to look for on mystery islands. He did get mad when I asked Aurora to move in because she isn't a cat and reminds him of his grandma. We do have different opinions in design. He prefers Japanese design, and I like to make my world look more like the old school ac towns. I gave him the cliffs to decorate as he sees fit, and I decorate the rest of the island since I play more. Our town looks like it was designed by two different people, not uniform at all. After we got three stars, the game was pretty much over for him. He did try out the paths and waterscaping tools and had fun with it. Now he hardly ever plays.

I share my island with my husband. All of our coworkers play and he doesn’t have a Switch, so he moved in right after I hit three stars. I originally kept the main island and gave him the cliffs, but our designs really synced up, so I moved up on the cliffs with him. We both decorate and we p/kick Villagers together. The only part of the island that is still “mine” is the top cliff where I am breeding hybrids. He knows not to go up there hahah

At this point some friends and I play so much together we could say our islands are part of an archipelago. We don't need maps for each other's islands (?).

I share it with my girlfriend and at first I was so excited to share one of my passions with her! I still feel that way, but I’m a bit bossy about how I want to design and decorate our island and sometimes I don’t agree with her aesthetic and want to change it. She felt like she isn’t given much freedom to design our island, so we agreed that she could decorate the right side. At first I was sad that she stopped playing for 3 weeks because of tafe, but then I felt secretly happy that I had full control of my island. I do love sharing one of my passions though!
