Do you write letters to yourself in this game?

I've ordered items for my side characters before but I didn't really write anything in the message.

I don't think i have? I remember seeing the feature and for a while being confused why id wanna send one to myself, but then i finally clicked on it and realized it was a future thing, but i dont remember if i actually sent anything, so uh, guess ill maybe find out if i did haha

only once. i set it to be sent on the day of my graduation (this was like a month or two before my graduation) and i totally forgot about until i hopped on the game the morning after! a pleasant surprise.

I have in several games! I love writing to my future self and getting surprised later on. It's funny to remember what I thought was important at the time and how vastly it changes years later. I usually send letters years in advance, but I think I have sent them earlier than that. I also like writing to my other player characters since they're my birbs anthropomorphized.

I think I've only done it once as a birthday gift. I sent myself a dirty old boot I pulled from the river and then forgot about it. You can imagine how I felt when that arrived. I think it's really fun but I just don't play much anymore, pretty much just when I get that semi-annual obsession with AC. Plus I often time travel when I do play so the date is not usually correct on my switch.

I have done this a few times but not very often. When I do I also like to ask myself little questions about what the future is like. I don't send a lot of mail to anyone in this game because it's far to go to the airport.

i haven’t done, though i also don’t really write letters in the game in general so have never really thought of it.
sending a letter to my future self sounds like quite a cute idea but i do time travel quite a bit and feel like it would take away from it a little if i sent a letter to myself to read six months in the future or something but i accidentally end up travelling to it in just a couple of days.

I used to write letters to myself in previous games, but I'd send them too far in the future, so I'd never actually receive them before I stopped playing that particular game. I haven't sent any to myself in New Horizons

Only if there is a NM mission that requires sending out mail. I don’t actually write anything to my Villagers as it feels rather silly that I’m sending a letter to someone who is literally living next door to me.

yep! it's never anything too serious though. I only really do it if I'm running out of pocket / storage space.
