Do you want to complete your catalog?

I'm curious as to how many people here actually care about completing their catalog. Why do you care about cataloging or why do you think it's a waste of time if you don't care?

For me, I want to have all of the orderable items so that I can get any of them for my house of to dress my character whenever I want. I also want all of them so that I am able to help people who are looking for specific items. I don't really care about having unorderables in my catalog since it doesn't really help, but I do collect them so that I can use them whenever I need them.

I want to catalog everything just for the sake of complete-ness. I've got a long way to go though, I have 500+ items I still need to catalog lol. I'll get there eventually

I need ALL THE THINGS. I'm a completionist when it comes to any game I play, so of course, I've made a notecard of all the items I'm still missing in my catalog. Luckily, most of it is now downloadable content or Japanese-exclusive, but there are still things- mostly clothing, I've noticed- I'm constantly searching my shops for!

I already have the gold catalog badge and I'm not particularly interested in completing my catalog. Maybe one day I'll just get bored enough to do it.

I'm obsessed with badges, so heck yes do I want that gold catalogue badge.

But 100% completeness? No way. What with all the region specific DLCs, if I attempted to walk down that path it would drive me utterly mad. I'm very fussy about what I actually keep anyway. Most things I catalogue are sold within minutes.

I'm about 20 items away from a complete catalog for the mayor in my main town, which is the only one I plan on completing. It just takes FOREVER to do, so I have no motivation to do it all over again.

yeah I would like to complete my catalog eventually. it's not on the top of my to do list for acnl, but it is a goal at some point, for the sake of a good badge and cause why not.

I care so much about completing my catalog rofl. I'm almost done too. I just have the last of the gyroids left, and a DLC blue argyle tank that I'm not even sure was ever released officially yet. I also have the 5 unorderable stationary that I need to catalog (though I am debating on if I really want to own them). Other than that, I'm practically done.

I still have to complete my town layout and pay off loans and such, but, yes in the future

I will one day in the future, when my town is completely landscaped n my alts houses are furnished, but it isn't something I am crazy about doing right now

Once I get the gold badge for 80%, I'll be happy, though over time, I'll work towards completion if I can. It's all that region-specific stuff that confounds me.

I don't have the motivation to complete my catalogue xD. When I first started the game - I would buy everything out of nooks for the sake of cataloging, however, now that I'm slightly over 50% complete - I'm perfectly content with what I have. If I ever need anything that I can't get from the catalogue - I'll just buy on the forums xP.

Yes for the badges and for completing all the items. I have 4 international items and it's complete.
All my side players have a full catalog too. Helps when my other town needs a lot of items. 60 items arriving in the mail is better.

In my newest town the mayor is buying and than dropping the items. Put it in a keep and a sale pile. Both side players catalog and sell the items. Drop all the items on the beach for them to pick up.

I'm a completionist in most games, though sadly, I have not managed to complete a game (like the Dragon Age games) 100%--meaning doing every side quest, collecting all of the mosaic pieces or whatever there are to collect in the game I'm playing.

I'm a collector at heart, but I think this catalog is just too big for me, so I'll probably try get the 80%.
