Do you use the megaphone?

I pronounce Beau like "bow" as well. I had a hard time with Jacques in my old town. He'd only respond to Jack v___v

I use the megaphone whenever I need to find a villager that asked me to get them something.

All the time in my second town especially since I have perfect fruit orchards. Plus for cycling I like to use it to double check that the ones I haven't run past are really not outside.

A lot of times when I call for a Villager with the Megaphone, Kapp'n responds instead... It's frustrating.

It's also good for waking up Gulliver the first time. I keep mine stored in a letter along with my wet suit, and golden ax. I think of them as my "secondary tools"... not used as consistantly as the shovel net and fishing rod which are kept in my pocket.

I find it useful to find Katie, that little cat can travel around town. I've tried it to find Joan before and it didn't work - I'll have to try again. I like it and will keep using it

I should use it more often than I do, because I have one HELL of a time finding my villagers in my second copy. I didn't know it worked on Main Street. O:

Everyone says "It never works dhgdhfjgf" but for me it works every time, if I say it loudly and clearly. Unfortunately I always try to whisper it when others are around and nobody replies...then I give in and shout at the DS and my parents stare at me like I'm crazy. Then I have to sheepishly explain AGAIN why I'm talking to a machine.

I used one once to see what happens when you try to wake up Gulliver with it. It took me eight times to get him to wake up because either Kapp'n or Mallary would respond.

Once my curiosity was fulfilled, I haven't bothered with the megaphone since.

Not really, I'm typically never in a location where I can raise my voice enough to shout animal names. When I do, it's usually just for Gulliver.

I use it to find Saharah and Joan! They're a pain to find once they start roaming your town. I was lucky, most of the time whispers work for me, but in cases when I have to use a louder voice, I have to practice my poker face to my family.

Dumb question here that probably everyone already knows... how can you tell your friendship level when you use the megaphone??? I would love to try that.
