I was wondering if anyone uses dandelions or dandelion puffs. They don't technically count as a 'weed' and don't affect your town rating, so I was wondering if anyone liked to use them in there town as decorations. They change form after a few days and can apparently disappear. If you do use them, where do you put them? I'm curious to know so I know whether or not to use them.
Edit: This post may have sounded like I was entirely basing my decision on other people's opinions, but I wasn't! I was just wondering how other people use dandelions, considering the fact that they change form and disappear after a few days. I decided to use the dandelions, but mainly as an indoor decoration. Still interested to know if anyone else uses them as well, though!
You are going to decide whether or not to use dandelions based on if other people do? You should use them if you like them! It's your town, not anyone else's. You decorate it how you feel it will look best.
Sometimes I'll have little clearings in my town and fill them with dandelion puffs or dandelions, just to make it look like a field of wildflowers, since they have a unique look among all the plants in-game. The big thing about dandelions is they'll despawn on their own, so unless you play in your town everyday and pick and replant all of them everyday, they'll disappear. But if you can keep up with them, they're a great addition to any town!
Also, sometimes if I know I'm having visitors over, I'll wrap and pile a bunch by my town gate, and let visitors take them as a free hand-held item at no cost to me. Not to mention they make a unique house plant if you use it as furniture. So even if you don't want to plant and replant them everyday, they still are useful and worth keeping imho.
Thanks, I was just wondering how they work. I heard they despawn and can change between puffs and the regular dandelion, so thanks for clearing that up!
I'm actually saving up my dandelion puffs (since they disappear in a day or so) for when I get my dream address. I like to use them with other white flowers, they give off the kind of like fairy feeling I think.
actually I believe they disappear after 3 days? Which is a shame otherwise
I would use them a lot in my forest town as they give a much more overgrown
look ^^ I just wear them or have my character hold them :3
