I think if you've ever considered or thought about restarting, you should definitely do it.
If you don't, either
- you'll have to force yourself to like something you're not truly satisfied with , or
- you can't take it any more and actually do restart eventually, when the losses are even greater.
If you do, there's no way your layout will be less satisfactory than your previous one (unless you don't have patience to keep resetting, in which case, don't restart), so either
- You have the perfect layout and fruit and villagers or whatever, and you are completely satisfied with your decision
- You have the perfect layout but miss all the obtainables in the game and have to play longer to re-achieve items, villagers, relationships, town status, etc.
Basically, no matter what, restarting gets you your ideal layout and permanent conditions and such, and extends your enjoyment and hours of game play. Not resetting after already having planted the seed in your mind will always hang over you like a gloomy cloud, and one day, it may just rain when the losses will be truly great.
This is the opinion of someone who has never encountered this problem though, because I really like my town, so maybe I'm not the person to give advice![]()
This has made me decide on restarting.
