Do you think I should restart?

pwp seems hard to build around this place.

i would if i were you :(

I think the river layout is what bothers me the most, it is a bit boring. Also I don't really like my house placement because I almost have no space to do anything with it outside, if you know what I mean :p

Oh, I see. I can relate to the house placement issue and wanting a garden. That and the fact that I wanted perfect apples were the reasons for my reboot. Well, if you're gonna restart, you might as well do it now so you can put all your effort into a town you're going to keep. Just make sure that you're sure you want to do it :D

Just get rid of the second player's house and move it somewhere else.
I would use the resetting trick when new villagers move in that way to you have all your villagers live in one part of your town. This will give you more room to design your town and make it look nice.

Don't restart.

I have perfect apples too which one of the reasons I'm a bit reluctant about restarting, apples are my favorite. But I hate my villagers etc :P

who's the loner villager on the top left?

Haha, it's Jacques or something like that. A smug villager :)

Layout looks pretty darn cool to me... o.o Plus your house and retail are in great spots.

Hey, you've visited my town! :p (through the dream world, right?) I recognized your name, haha.

But thank you for your opinion to everyone else! I will have to think more though, but if you have insights - please come with it! :)

I actually don't think your layout is that bad :o

I understand the itch to restart though, I sort of have it myself xD I've unlocked so much and put in so much work, so I tried to come up with a solution to make me stay in my current town. I decided to chop down all my trees, redo my paths, and tear down PWPs. It's probably a little extreme, but completely rearranging my town has already made me like it a bit more. I'd say give it like a week, and try to work around the things in your town that bother you. I know there's not much you can do about the river, but sometimes moving stuff around can maximize space. And remember, villagers aren't permanent. If there are ones you dislike, you aren't stuck with them forever :3

However, since your layout is bothering you now, there is also the possibility that it may always bother you :( If you're sure you want to reset, the sooner is probably better. Restarting after a few months isn't as painful as restarting after a year x_x.

I'm having the same issue. The only thing I'm worried about is having to wait for all the shops on Main Street to be built and upgraded. I hate all my villagers (except Erik), I don't really care about my PWP's, and my river just makes building impossible. :(

If you have someone hold your things, I say go for it. I decided to reset and I couldn't be happier!

If you don't have anyone that can hold onto your things, then I'd suggest think it over. You put effort into getting so much done, right? But you don't want to lose it all, either. Plus, it's always more fun to start a new game though... There you have it. Think what decision you want to pick. (You also will lose the villagers that you got! You might never get them back!) So much regrets, but it's your choice. Also, I don't see what's wrong with your layout. :/

No don't, loads of people are being told to reset and then regretting it. You might not play it the same way.

I feel like if you reset, you'll always compare your new town to your old one and you'll be full of regrets..

I think your map is actually really nice. Its just the placement of your campsite that bothers me.
But if you really want to, I suggest leaving your items in someone's town.

I think if you've ever considered or thought about restarting, you should definitely do it.
If you don't, either
- you'll have to force yourself to like something you're not truly satisfied with , or
- you can't take it any more and actually do restart eventually, when the losses are even greater.
If you do, there's no way your layout will be less satisfactory than your previous one (unless you don't have patience to keep resetting, in which case, don't restart), so either
- You have the perfect layout and fruit and villagers or whatever, and you are completely satisfied with your decision
- You have the perfect layout but miss all the obtainables in the game and have to play longer to re-achieve items, villagers, relationships, town status, etc.

Basically, no matter what, restarting gets you your ideal layout and permanent conditions and such, and extends your enjoyment and hours of game play. Not resetting after already having planted the seed in your mind will always hang over you like a gloomy cloud, and one day, it may just rain when the losses will be truly great.

This is the opinion of someone who has never encountered this problem though, because I really like my town, so maybe I'm not the person to give advice :P
