I always talk out loud to myself in khmer to practice ever since I started learning it properly 3 months ago. I often rehearse sentences or questions/conversations I want to use throughout the day.
I talk to myself constantly. I'm always having hypothetical conversations with myself as another person. It's not audible, but sometimes an audible word will slip out.
Yeah. I talk to myself inside my head, but sometimes I notice myself talking out loud without realizing. Just sort of like thinking out loud. Mostly when no one is around. I also talk to my dog, but I feel like that is normal
No not in that way. I do kind of like mutter or responding to whatever happened which doesn't count i guess. But one question does playing with toys count when I do the voices? My sisters keep thinking it's weird and they always say "stop talking to yourself!"
I'll talk to myself when I'm solving problems, trying to calm down, envisioning myself in a situation I plan on executing, or just for fun. I look crazy.
Every single day...when I'm alone. When I'm around other people I never do my soliloquies. I tend to think out loud when there is no one around and sometimes I practice lines for my characters in the book I'm writing so they come across as natural. Sometimes people catch me talking but I pay them no mind. Most of the time I don't even know them. I also curse out loud when I'm playing certain video games.
i do occasionally! very quietly and usually to count or do basic math/subtraction. i have a really loud head voice (aka the talking to yourself in your brain voice) so i tend to not really vocalize unless i need to.
Yeah I do and it’s a perfectly healthy thing to do. Sometimes it’s just anxious thoughts, sometimes when I’m sorting through a problem or debating possible arguments with myself I’ll have a bit of a dialogue/monologue. Other times I’ll just make random comments/comedic observations to myself. I was honestly mortified just the other day, I was walking to my seminar and I realised that I was saying my thoughts out loud (muttering). Never really done that before, I guess I was too lost in my own thoughts to notice. Oops.
sometimes. i generally talk to myself on what i need to do, or for re-affirmation. funnily enough, it's something i got from my father who does the exact same thing.
I talk to myself all the time mostly when I’m alone. Usually it’s when I’m working through a problem or figuring out things at work. At home I always talk to my dog.
