I personally find it funny when you are home re decorating and a villager shows up and is like "LOL I AM COMING IN RIGHT NOW!"
and then they send you a gift the next day even though you don't really need one. It's not like you did anything spectacular xD

i like when they visit me because you can really tell your relationship with a villager when they decide to pay a surprise visit. sure, you can visit any villager, despite whether you hate them or love them. but only villagers you enjoy and like can visit you unexpectedly.

I prefer when i visit them because I can snatch their furniture. LOL

I agree. I like when someone just stops by out of the blue. It tells me that they really like me. Of course, Rocket coming over just as I was changing into my pajamas and going to turn in for the night was a bit of a pain, but she's sweet, so I got over it. Thank heavens for mannequins that allow quick-changes!

Villagers that visit randomly is pretty cute because it shows how close you are to them.
I like visiting their houses though, because sometimes I can get some furniture out of it and I can basically leave whenever I can. xD (I'm really impatient, lol).

As for planned visits... I prefer when they come to mine because it means I can just sit on the sofa until they're finished looking about. Whereas if I go to their place I always seem to disappoint them by leaving early no matter how long I stay.

Being visited, both surprise and advanced knowledge, it's so cute how they shuffle round after you and compliment everything!

Having villagers visit me makes me feel bad about how I've 'decorated' my house, and visiting other villagers' houses makes me feel bad about how I've ruined their house. So... neither? Haha. I should really get to work on making my house look better.

Though I do enjoy it when villagers visit me by surprise.
