Eh it depends. I like running errands for my villagers. But I like playing tours with friends.
I should probably add that the friends I do play with are friends I've been playing AC with ever since WW and we're all pretty close. We usually use kik to chat instead of the in game chat because that's a bit clunky.....
I like to play alone. There was a time when I first started playing that it was fun to hang out with other people, but I don't do that anymore. I used to let people talk to my villagers and when we stopped playing, it started to annoy me that the villagers would bring up their names. I've restarted since then, so that's all been erased. I go back and forth between my two towns when I need to, so my villagers have only spoken to my own characters. I'm going to keep it that way.
Playing alone. AC is like me time. I like meeting other players online for a bit to do trades etc. but even just visiting towns I'd rather do it in a dream.
Prefer playing alone, I enjoy meeting people through trades but the stylus makes it difficult to enjoy a proper conversation. Maybe if I had IRL friends that played acnl I'd enjoy it more but it's usually strangers I'd be hanging out with
Playing alone really does make things less complicated.I don't mind visiting dream towns and all, but that's as far as I go when it comes to visiting others.
