I love mechanical pencils because its easier to write with imo. I also lose wooden pencils more often lol.

If I ever need to hand write something (which isn't too often these days) I go with mechanical. My elementary school teachers made a lot of us fear pencil sharpeners. They always yelled at us for using them, because they were loud and disruptive and ruined everyone's learning experience, and we never emptied them properly according to the teachers. We were shamed for using them. So once I found out about mechanical, I switched to that. Less traumatic.

But I prefer typing. I was born left handed, but I was forced to use my right hand when learning how to write. As a result, writing is difficult and painful, and I can never read what I wrote.

Mechanical, easily! Just feel so much better to write and draw w/!

I prefer normal pencils. They're what I used for years, and the lead in mechanical pencils always managed to break too easily when I'd use them.

Mechanical but I hate writing with a pencil! I prefer pen. I don't think I've used a pencil much since leaving school! But I do remember greatly preferring mechanical!!! :>

I use regular pencils because i'm to lazy to go to office max and pick up mechanical ones.

Heres a question: How do you hold your pencil?
I hold mine between my pointer and middle, with my thumb, pointer, middle, and ring finger touching it someway near the bottom. I don't know why but for some reason, around 6 years about it started to hurt to hold the way you're supposed to and I found that holding it that way eased it. Now, within these past couple of weeks I've started to find myself holding it the "correct" way again. I have no idea why or where this discomfort comes from

Mechanical. I can never get normal pencils sharp enough to write properly with. ;_;

I hold mine between my middle finger and ring finger, with my thumb resting on top. C;

God, I prefer mechanical pencils by a mile. While writing with a freshly sharpened pencil feels super satisfying, the consistency of a mechanical pencil is too much to pass up.
