My sister and I were talking about music the other day and she pointed out that I tend to prefer songs with female singers while she prefers male singers. Do you have a preference? I still listen to many songs with male singers, but I tend to favor the female singing voices.
Yesss. Instrumentals are the soul of the music~ It depends on what genre it is, for the most part, I like male singers. Not that there aren't some amazing women who can sing, just that most singers in the genres I like are male.
Thinking of all my favorite voices I've heard over my lifetime, some of the best have come from males. The type of music I listen to doesn't really have many female vocalists, but I still love a good female singer.
I tend to listen to male singers, but female singers are good too. I'm just not into the current popular female singers I hear (I don't go actively looking for songs).
I actually generally don't enjoy singing voices in general.
I only really like listening to music in the background of something, and if it has lyrics it's generally distracting.
There are a few exceptions to this (Thank you based Mother Mother and Mystery Skulls), but for the most part you'll catch me listening to things like Anamaguchi, Detektivbyr?n, and coincidentally, some of my friend's music as I'm friends with a few people who used to be big into the music production scene for old fanbases.
I really love both, but I'd say female, or female range. I like to sing along, and I can't if a man is down in the basement, without taking it up an octave or two. I do listed to a lot of male singers, though. Michael Jackson, and others, but using Michael as an example, he sings in my range. So...
I would probably have to say male overall though. Whilst the few bands I like that are female fronted do rank very high in my favorites, there's just not a lot of female fronted bands I actually like in the first place.
