Do you prefer fishing or bug catching?

I used to prefer fishing, but as of recently, I prefer bug catching. I like how you can actually see the bugs on the overworld before you catch them, so you know exactly what you're catching. I also just find it easier because I have a tendency to get really tense when I'm fishing, and I'll be anticipating that drop so much, I'll reel in too early. I've lost a lot of sharks that way.

Bug catching. With fishing my reflexes betray me. It was so much easier with vibrate!

I did complete my fishing encyclopedia first though. The scorpion was a pain for me!

bug catching! i find fishing to be a little tedious, especially since you have no way of telling what you're going to get until you've already caught it (and so you end up with 1000 black basses) whereas with bug catching you don't have to go through that and can just avoid or scare off the ones you don't need. also, like the person above me said, when i'm fishing my thumb always jumps and i and up hitting A too early and losing my catch.

Bug catching since I get too nervous with fishing and tend to pull the reel out way to earlier out of fear I won't catch it and still end up not getting it lol >_<

I have been doing a method though thats kinda working for me now though lol but still bug catching its just soo easy

Fishing is funner I think, but it's kinda weird because IRL I'm a really big fan of bugs.

I filled out all of my encyclopedias at about the same pace. I definitely prefer bug catching over fishing and diving, though.

I prefer fishing, as I prefer irl too. Being by the sea and river is just really calming and when I catch a good fish, it feels just as satisfying as it does irl.

I prefer bug catching just because its easier for me than fishing since my reaction time is very slow

I prefer big catching. Fishing can be infuriating at times when you are looking for something specific within a certain time. Whereas the only bugs I had even a slight problem with were the tarantula and scorpion, and then then I caught them on the second try on the second time of seeing them. I was at it weeks to get a giant snakehead

I actually prefer fishing, it's so calming, especially when fishing in the river. I don't exactly know why, but I love standing on a bridge and fish a little. It's just... so nice.

That's a tough one.. but I think I'd have to go with fishing. I've done so much fishing in this game that I can pretty much deduce what I'm about to get right when I see its shadow. I'm sure others can do the same, but I like to think it's pretty neat. Plus it's fun to try to guess what I'm about to get before I even get it

Bug catching is easier, but honestly searching for bugs I often find ends up being more tedious than searching for fish. With bugs, you know exactly what you're going to catch. I often end up running around town for a while without catching anything, just waiting for the right one to spawn.

With fishing, you don't know what you're going to get (exactly) until you've caught the fish. Additionally, I find myself more inclined to catch random fish even when it's not the right shadow size. Something about walking along and plucking fish from the river late at night is just incredibly relaxing.

I prefer bug catching mostly because it is easier to earn bells. You can't see what you are getting with fishing and I seem to always get a sea bass when I am trying to find something good.

I prefer fishing. I just find it more relaxing. I don't really mind that I can't see what I'm catching. I actually think it's more fun when it's a bit of a surprise.
