I do play with the alts, on a daily basis, thinking of stopping it cos, its lengthened the time I spend playing on an ingame day.
I do it to get the meow coupons, Katrina readings (to get her into her main street shop asap), extras on Saharah, Brewster gyroids, money rock (mainly in hope of getting ore instead of bells - & I do fairly often, as all have a silver shovel) etc etc.
I don't get many convos with the villagers about the other characters I play, - but there is one I find a bit creepy, the villagers sometimes say I look very much like one of the other characters - 'must be the same shirt or something' or similar - I'm sure its Nintendo having a little dig at us for making alts!
I have 2 other characters that i play with cuz i have too many house ideas help;;;...
plus i like recreating official characters from shows i love into the game and designing their house
but i mean other than that i never use them to talk to other villagers cuz all my best friendships w my dreamies are on my main anyway so whatever
Not very much, actually. I did at first, with my second character (I only have the two) but I didn't like having to save, quit and restart twice every time a piece of path got erased, which is quite often. It was also too much work for me to play two characters at the time. My mayor did buy her cute clothes and hats, but eventually told all the villagers she was his sister and in poor health and kept to herself mostly because she had come to his town to rest and recover. They still whip out the sweet letters she sent them declining their invitation to their birthday parties because of her health!
I'm currently in the process of moving all her stuff out, saving some, selling some, giving some to my new town mayor character (female). Haven't decided yet if I will have her move to my second town or just have her move back home with mom and dad. I think the second option. I think I will not be sad to see her go home. She is too needy.
I've made another character just as a town path pattern slave. Kinda like in pokemon, a HM slave lol but no I don't play as her, in fact, i haven't even talked to any of the villagers because i don't want her influence on the town. I just want her to be an extra inventory
At first my 2 extra players had tasks. One was the island girl and the other was the delivery girl to my other towns.
After completing most of the mayor badges I started playing them as real players. They now have most of their badges.
In my 2nd town the extra players take turns playing. Once the mayor tasks are done I send one of them out to play for awhile.
