I like both. The shirts look a little awkward being so tight, but it's kind of funny. I liked the fluffy round sheep, too. Don't really have a strong opinion one way or the other, but I do give credit to the devs for trying something different that people were asking for.
I miss how round and fluffy the sheep looked. I have Étoile and Pietro on my island right now and they just don’t look right squeezed into these small shirts. Makes them look weirdly tube shaped.
The shirts look uncomfortable for them. The scarves were way cuter, but I understand why they changed it. I definitely prefer and really miss the big floofs with their scarves.
I haven't had a sheep since NL, so this isn't something I really noticed. I know I was initially glad to see them wearing clothes rather than just a scarf, but that comparison pic makes me think they were actually better off in just a scarf, rather than being stuffed like a sausage into a shirt.
I don't really care too much one way or the other, honestly. That said, I had Frita on my island and had no problems with her wearing clothes, and comparing her NH model to her NL model, I prefer her NH model more, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i really really miss the scarves T__T and i miss their floof too!
i do kinda like that they can wear clothes now but maybe they’d look cuter if you could choose when to have them wear a scarf vs clothing item. (maybe a “gift as a….” selection) they look like they’re being squished into their clothes now lol
To be honest when they used to have scarves and be all fluffy I never considered having a sheep in my towns. Since they switched to shirts I've found their designs much more appealing and now have Dom on my island and also Muffy stayed for a long time. That would never have happened previously
I actually don't think they look too squeezed into the shirts unless you look at a side-by-side image of them from previous games & I do like that they can wear clothing now like the other species, so I don't mind... But I do love some fluffy sheep haha
I do miss the scarfs and seeing a lot of their fluff. Like with Pietro, I think his design loses something when the majority of it is covered by a shirt. Same with Frita and Etoile. Pietro used to be one of my Dreamies in New Leaf, and now he's not. The entire sheep species is just less fun for me with the shirts.
I think they are both cute. I like the sheep villagers, especially Willow, Dom, Pietro, and Eunice. And Stella. There are probably more I'm forgetting. I didn't play the older games, so I didn't get them in their fluffy state.
