Hey guys! I just wanted to know whether you like doing the small tasks animals can give you. I'm talking about the ones where you deliver stuff, or buy furniture, or get them fruit. I know there are people who don't like doing things and just like simply talking to villagers, which is valid too! They have some really endearing lines.
Honestly sometimes I feel like I'm one of the few people who really like doing tasks.. To me, it makes things less monotonous. I think it shapes their personality because you get to see which villagers they buy gifts for, or you can select furniture to shape their home.
What about you? Do you hate the small errands and wish they were gone? Or do you like going around completing them?
I really like it myself! I was never a fan of the fish and bug ones from previous games but NL fixed it so that they won't keep asking you if you say no the first time, so that's a great plus! I do like them but I think it would be better if they were put behind the asking for jobs dialogue from GC, so people can have a choice.
I very much enjoy it, honestly. I love helping out my villagers when they need something. I try and go above and beyond what they ask if they need an item too. It makes the game fun for me.
Yes, it is a big part of my gameplay, but i like some tasks more than others like when they ask me for furniture. I really love decorating their houses even though i feel they dont need changes sometimes. It also helps with improving your friendship and that is important to me.
I personally love doing the requests. It gives me something to do for the day and I just want to be very best friends with my villagers. Due to starting over so many times over the last few years I never really gotten a villager picture before, but now I'm determined to get one, so I'm currently working hard on doing all the requests for my villagers so I can get one. I'm quite tired of starting over, so I know I can do it. Plus, doing requests can be quite fun depending on what it is. Though, some requests are harder to do than others, so sometimes I may have to say no, but it's OK if I do. I don't really think it hurts the friendship too much if you say no to a couple of requests.
Yes I love doing the requests for them. It's the first thing that I do each day and i love getting gifts from them in return. I have not gotten any villager pic before so my goal is to get all of my villager's pics and place them in either a house or in museum. I also like that when you become friends with them, when you are inside your house, they will come visit you.
I like it, it gives me something extra to do while I'm doing my daily chores. I'm missing I think 2 or 3 villager pics so that can be considered as a goal while helping them.
I really love doing villager requests.. ;7; I love seeing how happy they get whenever you finish a task, and I love that I’m able to help them out. I just wish that they’d give me more things to do for them! Haha ^^
I like doing errands for my villagers.I like giving them stuff that matches their species or personality type and it also gives me the chance to freshen up their house interiors with new furniture.
I can't do many as I don't want to change their houses, I find them fine as it's relatively easy ones left.
Doing the same ones over and over may get kinda boring when you're playing for a while in one sitting.
I do quite like the sentiment of getting their pictures also.
I'm very unreliable for villager requests |D
I almost always open their parcels because I hate delivering to them only to have them change into an ugly shirt, or try selling it to me when I already had the opportunity to get it for free.
I almost never give them fish or bugs because I don't want their houses to be full of butterflies and sea bass. I'll selectively let them have cute fish for their decor, though, and once Willow paid me way above market price for an Oarfish so she's got one of those. Furniture is about the same, it's so rare I'm inside their houses so I don't want to unknowingly mess up their decor.
I'll remember to give them fruit about 40% of the time, that's probably my best turnout rate.
I enjoy doing requests for my villagers. Completing their requests is part of my daily routine as I'm going around town, cleaning things up. I think it makes the game more fun and intersting. I go out of my way to find suitable furniture for their houses or catch a cute fish that I don't mind them displaying.
The only thing I don't like is when they ask me for a difficult or time-consuming request right before I'm ready to log off. That's when I miss the old feature of being able to select whether I want to chat or do a job for them. It made things more convenient to do a request early on and then just talk with the villagers after that. But I guess this is more natural and realistic so I don't really mind.
I enjoy doing errands! However it feels like that my villagers just sort of see me as an errand machine nowadays and don't even bother to talk to me. They'll just ask me for fruit, furniture, etc. and it takes away from the fun of the game. Instead it feels more like a job doing it that often.
Although I used to do errands during my first season of playing back in 2013, I decline most errands now after returning to New Leaf last month. They're usually rather unengaging, and I'm already at max friendship with most villagers that ask! The furniture replacement errands are the worst, as usually I want to order specific furniture to give them but by the time it arrives it's already another day and they don't care anymore.
It doesn't help that they usually ask while I have other priorities! I liked how they were handled in AC1, where you're the one who asks if they have any work for you to do.
I'll always accept fruit errands though. I love watching their excitement when I surprise them with a perfect fruit!
Doing errands is fun so I like it for sure! I enjoy being helpful and making villagers happy. Sometimes I just keep talking to my villagers in hopes of getting some errands to do.
Though if the villager wants something that I can't give, like perfect fruit I don't have, or really rare fish or bugs, I might say no to the errand. Not always though since sometimes I feel like accepting the challenge, but often it just feels like too much work.

One thing that's great about them asking for rare fish is you then realize they exist and are available then.
It's pretty helpful if you aren't looking it up!
