Just wondering if anyone is learning a language at their school.
At my school it is compulsory to learn french..

My school gives you the option of learning french, spanish, japanese, or German. I chose Spanish, because this is now my 3rd year of spanish :D

9th year of school is what we call Freshman in Highschool here in America...that is what I am in.....Im in 9th year too

I'm learning Latin. Go dead languages!
lol i don't see the point of Latin O_o
Seems more useful than the "standard" languages to me. I took French 2 years in middle school, 2 years in highschool, and I've essentially never used it outside of the class. I can't converse with it... I can barely understand people speaking it... so meh, it didn't do much. The only thing I've used it for is understanding a little bit of some French AC websites.

French, though it isn't mandatory. I'm almost fluent in it now, but not enough to type this post up without consulting a dictionary.

We have to learn Japanese in our class from the start of year 7 to I think the end of year 9 or 10. Japanese and English are my 2 favourite subjects.

I took German for 3 years, but like many others, never really spoke it outside of the classroom.
