Mine stay in my pockets and take up the first line of my inventory. I've always done it that way. It makes things really easy for when I need to catch a bug, a fish, or if I need to dig something up.

I only carry the watering can, shovel, net, and fishing rod that way, though.
I keep my megaphone and slingshot in my letters. I might take them out and store those soon, though. I never use them

I keep mine in my pockets, even if it means going to Re-Tail more often. I have to be ready for the bees and balloons...

I always have my shovel, net, slingshot, and fishing rod handy and store my wetsuit and watering can in my letters. I never worry about space much. Even tho I don't use my rod and slingshot much I'd be too antsy if I tried to store it away or not carry it. I need to have them all in my inventory and I keep compulsively putting them back in the order in which I like them. Otherwise I get too bugged thinking about them being in the wrong place and can't concentrate.

Ugh, that sounds bad. But yeah, I keep them with me! I always think, "Be prepared."

The first row of my pockets is always my shovel, fishing rod, watering can, and my net since I use those the most. Then, in my letters I carry my Wetsuit/Megaphone/Axe/Slingshot/Umbrella. It makes it more handy :]

No. I make all my three characters carry a fishing rod and a bug net, but the rest of the tools I've distributed between them (for example, one of them has a swimsuit, another has the watering can, and so on). I stopped doing the method of putting them with the mail since I nearly lost my silver fishing rod that way and it's less practical to get them out instead of using just the direction buttons.

I carry the shovel, watering can, net, fishing pole, and axe at all times. I also keep the slingshot and wetsuit in my letters.

I usually have everything on me besides the wet suit and slingshot. I just throw them out onto the town plaza or next to the train station when I need the inventory space. I feel like I'd forget them if I stored them in letters.

i do. i store them in my letters so my pockets arent clogged up, like so

i have it specifically like that so i know exactly which one is in which.

Yeah i do the exact same thing, the top row of letters is gold slingshot, timer, axe, wetsuit
the bottom row of letters is megaphone, gold net, gold fishing rod, gold watering can, gold shovel

At the start of the game I have the watering can, shovel, fishing rod and net out.
Once I'm done with watering and hitting rocks I put them in an old letter. This way you can't sent it to a villager.

I'm done with the balloon badge so I put it away.

Yes, with the exception of going to the island sometimes (I don't want my 3DS to mess up and then for me to lose it all!), or if I go on fishing hunts. Although, I don't store mine in letters. I usually have enough space for my daily routine anyway so it isn't needed.

Sometimes, depends what I'm doing. If I'm gardening I will only talk my axe, shovel and watering can. If im just walking around I probably won't take my slingshot... That's it

Yep, I always keep my tools with me at all times. I remember when I didn't & that dreaded balloon just went over my head & I didn't have my slingshot on me...It was quite painful.

They may take up quite a bit of pocket space, but it doesn't really bother me as I like to keep my pockets quite clean & not clogged up with anything else.

I used to keep all my tools in my letters but after ordering a lot of stuff for the trades I had, now I only carry my golden slingshot for balloons and my golden shovel for fossils and gyroids.
