Pokémon Do You Keep Your Starter?

I normally keep my starters... I do research before the game is released to get as much information as I can on the game to see what kind of pokemon are in the region and I base my starter on what team I think I want c:

I always kept them although in the newer generations I hate the starters so I just don't know if I'd keep them or not. Depends on the other pokemon in the game, I guess.

Usually yes. I like to get them maxed out and then choose the rest of my team around them.

Usually I do, but I traded away my starter in white 2...

I've always kept mine except from my first Pok?mon x folder, where my fennekin was male, and male delfox is just wierd...

This is kind of how I feel. Back in Red/Blue/Yellow I stuck with my starters to the end (and then stopped playing Pokemon games until now lmao) but I'm waiting for my copy of Alpha Sapphire and I don't like any of the starters enough to keep them any longer than I have to. They're cute before they evolve - and I'm one of those people who would rather have a cute team than the "best" team, numbers-wise - but they all look weird as hell in their final evolutions, so I'm ditching them before they get that far.

Yes, absolutely. I don't use them competitively, but I keep them in my non-competing team.

i always hold on to my starters as long as i can before it becomes unreasonable due to gyms or certain areas or need to train my weaker pokemon. they tend to be weaker than the others because i'm afraid to overtrain them and make everyone else useless or something, haha.

Y was the first version where I didn't keep my starter, I just wasn't feeling the final evos as much in that generation. I kept Greninja for a few gyms but it was hard to use him when they gave me a Squirtle/Blastoise right off the bat too lol In all other games I kept my starter, at least during the first play-through.

My starter is always with me the entire game. I love them. Their stats are always well rounded, or at least decent, and it's cool to see them grow and evolve over the course of the adventure.

You know, it varies how I feel. I like to keep my starter, but most times, if I'm going by favorites, which are mostly Dragalge, Scolipede, and Noivern, I end up choosing 3 other favorites. I avoid legendaries usually, because I feel as if it should be sacred. xD
