i have two dogs but my mom is a clean freak so we can't have them inside. my backyard is fairly large but they broke all the sprinklers so now the grass died. i feel sorry for my dogs since there is no grass. do you keep your pets indoors? i wish i could, but only if i had hard floor.

yes
our garden is quite small seeing as we live in the city centre and ireland is far too cold for it to be okay to leave a dog outside

Yes. I have three cats and a dog and they all live inside.

I didn't know it was so common for people to have outdoor pets?
I've read in quite a few places that it's not good to keep your cats outdoors, as they can catch diseases, be attacked my other, bigger animals, and they kill birds/squirrels, which dwindles the population :c
Plus, I had an outside cat once that was bit by a wild dog with rabies and we had to put it to sleep because it got infected and we realized too late.

Either way, I wouldn't ever have outdoor pets, only because the whole point in having pets is to live with them and I always enjoy having them around c:

Never heard of people not letting their pets in the house before. :o

Mine are the opposite in that they don't go outside. One of my cats isn't able to, another seems almost scared of it, and the other two don't seem to have any interest at all.

im surprised at the amount of people whose pets are... "outdoor only"???? that sounds super weird to me

id never allow my cats outside, too dangerous. unless we built them a very sturdy play patio where they couldnt escape, and could move outside and inside easily, id never let them out of the house. two dont like the outdoors, but one does and he's a little pain in the ass to chase around when he gets out. i fear for their safety if theyre outdoors, so yeah. only indoors for any pets of mine ever.

I live away from home and my cat is allowed inside and outside as she pleases as I leave the window to the back yard open during the day. When I lived at home we had a family dog and he was also allowed inside. Pets suit clean freaks as well when trained :).

My cats stay inside due to safety. There's too many outdoor cats in the area. Only with idiot drivers >< my babies are safe.
At my dad's, my cat has roam of the backyard but if I see her out the front I chase her inside.

My tortoise is the only one who lives indoors with us, the weather isn't always the best for her to be out. My rabbit's are kept outside, they have a massive shed to run about in, and I let them run about in the garden if the weathers okay. My first rabbit, who I still have, was a house rabbit, but she'd chew the phoneline and the connections, as well as the TV cable.

All of my pets are inside pets. Tbh I don't really see the point of getting animals if I'm just gonna leave them outside all the time (no offense to those of you who do, it's just not for me).

We keep our pets indoors except for when the dogs need to go out.

I keep my pets in doors, but then I only have goldfish. When I had a rabbit, we kept him outside in the rabbit hutch because of the smell.

Our dog lives inside but our bunnies are outside most of the time, either in their hutch at night or in their run on the grass during the day. If it's raining, we bring them inside and they charge around the house being badly behaved and very cute! They're inside right now actually. One (Emrys) is sat on my knee as I type ❤️

I have a pet fish, he likes to go for a walk. Jk.
Yeh, they're here inside, planning on taking over the world, probably.

I keep 3 of my dogs indoors & one outdoors. We keep her outdoors because she's a cattle dog & she hates it indoors, but we bring her inside when the temperature gets hotter than 100?F/38?C or colder than 32?F/0?C.
