Send mails, talk, respond to all the pings, etc...? I don't and was wondering what the purpose is other than for pwp and exchanging/buying/selling items and playing their mini games.

I love my villagers! They make the game, you know? :) I think it would be boring to just fish, catch bugs, and fix up my town without talking to my cute little friends. I don't care about getting pings for PWPs, but I enjoy doing errands for them.

I try to talk to my villagers at least once a day. Doing all their errands and mini games.
I get excited when I get their pings ha ha.

Ever since Marshal and Mira moved out... I've been talking to all 10 of my villagers EVERYDAY. (i check in all stores outside etc)
EVERYYYYYDAAAYYYY
no matter what.
I can't let another one of them leave me!!
So yea I talk to all of them but I always decline their errands... I don't have time for them tbh... Sometimes I like to play hide-n-seek with them though

I LOVE talking to them, and making bonds with them! Dizzy called me his older sister the other day!

I do. Back then when I was very young though, I treated them as if they were real life friends xD (Yeah, I was a loser.)

omg they are the game :) its animal crossing of course I do they are great and keep the game interesting

All the time!
I talk to each one of them everyday, even if I don't like them much.
I always do favours and things as well, but I only send mail to villagers I love.

I make it a point to talk to all of my permie villagers at least once a day. And for those I miss, I'll send them a letter usually with perfect fruit attached.

I interact with my villagers quite a bit. They're a big part of why I play the game, and I love doodling them and coming up with ideas and stories about their relationships, friendships, secret lives, etc.

I usually don't send letters unless I am particularly attached to a villager bc they're a pain in the butt to send, haha. But other than that, I do talk to them a lot and run errands for them! I also give them furniture and clothes if I'm less than fond of how they decorate their own house. (Sometimes a mayor just has to intervene.)

At the same time, I understand that some people are way more into the cataloging and less personal/cutesy aspects of the game. However you wanna play is cool. The flexibility is what makes AC so neat, imo! u wu

Right! Not a lot of point to the game without the villagers :)

Haha, I love it! I totally agree ;)

I talk to my villagers everyday to avoid the random move-out, but I mail letters to only my favorite ones.

Maybe that's why I get bored of this game easily and I'll find interest again in a week or so but I also get bored/annoyed of the villagers too lol. K I will try and interact with them more. Just the fact that typing takes forever is such a turn off. :(

I love talking to the ones I like! When the friendship meter grows it's like I get to know them even better. The most obvious for me was when I befriended a cranky villager, suddenly he was all sorts of sweet and said I was the only one that understood him :D And there's nice badges to be had with interacting with them too :D And I aim to try and get at least bronze for all the badges xD

I harass them! They're my only friends, and they always have something interesting to say.

Interacting with villagers is my favorite part of the game! Once they move in, I get so excited to know their personalities and how they interact with my other villagers. I always design flowers/bushes/trees around their homes that match with their house and generally have an individual special look for all of them. While I'm a bit lazy with sending letters, I always talk to them, respond to their pings, and try to do their tasks! c:
