Do you have any pets?

I was wondering if the kind of animal you have as a pet irl influences your preference for villagers?

For example, I have dogs at home which makes me a bit picky about which dog villagers I have in town because they have to look "real" enough? Even if the other kinds of animals in my town look a bit cartoon-y?

I have a dog and cat, but I don't really feel they alter my choices with picking any animal of that breed. It does however, make me want a Cranky black cat villager. My cat is female but she has the personality of a Cranky villager. My dog would def be a peppy, but there's already peppy dog villagers, just not any peppy brown dog.

I have three cats, but they don’t really influence my preferences for villagers in AC.

I have 1 cat. She is a dilute tortoiseshell (which is mostly grey). She is highly neurotic (though she's gotten a lot calmer these past few years), but still very loving and social with those she trusts. The reason I mentioned her personality is because she is actually a big reason why Lolly became one of my favorite villagers. Lolly is so similar to my cat both in looks and personality that upon first seeing her, I already had an attachment to her. After she lived in my town for years, she became one of my favorite villagers of all time.

I don't have any pets because of my family not wanting any at this moment. We had a Labrador when i was really young but i don't think pets would have any impact on who i would want in my village.

Not particularly. Even though my favorite animals are felines, they barely had an influence on my favorite villagers. I just got Luca in November, and I've had my villagers set for quite some time!

I think subconsciously maybe? My favourite animals are cats (also deer) and I have had a few in my town, but I’ve never really actively kept them because of my pets I don’t think!

I have 4 cats! I suppose I'm a little partial to them in my town since they're my favorite animal

I have 3 cats, 3 guinea pigs and 1 rabbit.. they don't influence the choice of what Villagers I have in my town.
I see my pets often enough at home, so I don't need to see similar ones ingame as well.
I'd rather have some different species, so it's like I have even more different animals!

I have a cat and I love cats, but for some reason I didn't end up getting close to the cat villagers. I think Felicity and Lolly are super cute but by the time I found out about them I was pretty much already attached to my current peppy villager Carmen, and adding a fourth normal villager feels a bit too much for me. I also really like the bunnies in acnl but I would never get a bunny in real life because I heard they scare easily and you need to get them hay to eat~

I wish I did. Unfortunately, I have really bad allergies so, I can't get any furry pets.

I have 3 cats and 2 birds. I wouldn't say that's had an influence on my favorite kind of villager in Animal Crossing, most if not all of the cats and birds in AC I liked before I got any pets.

i have a chinchilla, definitely going to get another one someday. he is very sweet and theyre the cutest things ever. the breeder recommended i get him alone as he has a previous record of hurting another chin but its always best for them to have them in pairs

I have 2 cats and a dog and bear cubs are my favorite in animal crossing lol. So not related at all.

Yes I have 3 chihuahuas, 1 cat, and 2 parakeets/budgies.

I have 2 dogs in real life, and no dogs in my animal crossing town! I actually have a lot of cats now that I think about it, but I'm not really a cat person in real life
