Do you have any houses in your HHA area?

I only have them so I can order as many balloons as I want. Some items you can re-order from the HHA Showcase, but can’t get very easily. That’s how I use the HHA showcase. But I have no proper model homes.

I never managed to get the HHA full, I used to had a handful of houses there. Some were just mostly
empty, some were quite nice looking. Getting Streetpass was in general a challenge and I was happy
back in the days to even get Streetpass at all.

I have a house in every slot in my HHA area. I mostly got them because I have around 1000 streetpasses!

Mine is nearly completely full, but none from my tiny town. I've only ever gotten any when I was visiting Houston or other cities

I only have one, my friends house. I started the game from scratch and wish I had not reset the whole game. I had mine full from a streetpass event I went to several years ago and I never did get to go through them all. At least there are dream addresses. I love looking at peoples houses and towns.

In Popstar, I think the HHA Showcase is full? But all of those houses are from 2013-2014, before my hiatus started.
In Twinleaf, the HHA Showcase is completely empty because I can't seem to get any Streetpasses now.

My main town's Happy Home Showcase is full from all the streetpasses I received in 2015-2016. I mainly used the HH Showcase to order balloons from the showcase houses and to farm the ice creams, pinwheels, bubble wands, and tweeters.

To get houses in your HHA showcase, you need to streetpass other people/3DS's that have Animal Crossing. Then, you'll be able to see their houses in the showcase. Unfortunately, not many people bring their 3DS out anymore or have Animal Crossing if they do, so most people are finding it very difficult to get streetpasses nowadays. I've only got 2 houses in my showcase, one from my husband and one from my spare town, because I streetpass them regularly.

i'm pretty sure mine was filled once and i had to start deleting the boring ones to make room for more houses. it helps when you carry your DS around at conventions! i haven't taken my DS to a con in a couple years though, so the ones i collected in my HHA area are mainly from pre/early switch days when people more often took their DS places. i also got a few from carrying my DS to school, but probably only a dozen or so.

Haven't had a single one since the game released, besides Reggie's house, but that one doesn't count because everyone had him at one point or another. There's no streetpass in my area.

So I?m reminiscing today about how I actually miss City Folk?s Main Street layout, where it was a big plaza with nook?s sort of being the centerpiece of it all.
In New Leaf, it feels like a huge emphasis is being put on the HHA area (all the lights and the fancy entrance). And if I?m correct; I think you can get houses in there when you have your ds on streetpass and then you happen to pass another person in real life who is also doing the same thing? And then your houses show up in each other?s HHA area.
Now, I think the HHA area is a really cool concept: I like that you can go inside and actually order things from their houses, it?s not like visiting a DA.
But did any of you ever actually use it that way? Were you playing back when it was more popular, and able to get peoples houses in HHA?
I started playing a little later, and I?ve had no luck getting anyone on streetpass. I live in a smaller town and I?ve brought it with me a lot of places. However, I did get a few houses in there after an update (but I think it was from Nintendo themselves?) where I could order a few things I wanted.
I actually like the idea of the HHA but I wish that less emphasis was put on it on Main Street.. or that it was more popular somehow so that it isn?t completely useless to me!
Is there even a way to get more houses in there?

I bring it to uni with me and I'll get a new one every once in a while very rare though. I mostly just Street pass with my boyfriend lol, all the ones I do get are all last updated 2012 also. Makes me sad

First, you talk to Digby and get him to set everything up. Once you've talked to him, you just have to leave your DS on the Home screen and closed with Wifi turned on. That's called streetpass mode. If your DS and another DS pass within so many feet of each other and both are in streetpass mode, you'll get a streetpass and their house will show up in your HHA showcase.

I have quite a few HH Showcases houses, actually. I have both (I believe) of my sister's old town's houses, and also my mom's. Along with theirs, I have quite a few actual StreetPass houses, mostly from when I started in 2013, but I have a few from 2016-2019, surprisingly. I always look forward to taking long trips so I can (try) to get StreetPassed for things like this.
Usually, though, I don't end up with any for ACNL, which is really quite sad. I like the HH Showcase.
