Do you have all the villager personalities in your town?

Wondering this, since I don't have a peppy or an uchi.

Do you guys think it's better if you have all personality types or do you care more about villager aesthetics/dreamies. I would love your thoughts on this!

i was going to have all personalities but (forgive me) normals are sooo boring i went through so many and couldn't stand them so i'm just gonna focus on getting all my dreamies ♡

Really depends on your playstyle I think. If you're someone that only cares about aesthetics, then I doubt you'll really care if you have 10 normals. I need a good mix of both and I'd like to diversify my dialogue as much as possible so I try my best to have all the personalities though, unfortunately, I don't like any of the uchis aesthetically so I opted out of them.

Generally, people seem to value personality diversity which is why we still see aesthetically pleasing villagers in unpopular personalities shine through in rankings (more than those that are arguably more aesthetically pleasing in a more saturated personality type like lazy and normal).

I have them all currently but have too many cranky (3, octavian, lobo, grizzly)
I like them all but i am kicking out grizzly so i can get rosie back in (i kicked rosie out because i have her amiibo and needed a slot for shari)

I have every one except for snooty right now. I'm saving up Nook Miles tickets to try to find Judy. I am trying to save about 100 before I go and find her. Luckily, I have about 20-30 I carried over with me from my restart and didn't use to find Sherb.

Yes. I discipline myself to have them complete first. Then for the last two slots they could be repeats but not both of the same personality so I’ll only have max of two villagers for one personality type only.

I pick my villagers based on how they look. It does make me sad that I have three snooties and the dialogue is repetitive. It feels like I’m not actually getting to know them personally because they share personalities.
However, I just remind myself that AC is literally FILLED with repetitive dialogue. If I have to listen to Leif 30 times then it shouldn’t bother me so much that three of my villagers are repetitive too.

To compensate for having only 6 personalities, keep my 10th plot as a cycling plot. The moment the villager asks to leave, they leave. That allows me to hear the dialogue and get to know the other personalities I lack. Eventually, once I’ve heard enough of the smug and peppy I’ll move that spot to a permanent dreamie.

I have all except for peppy, uchi, and jock. However later when I play, I'll be doing the campsite method as I am searching for either hazel or audie.

Yup, made it a point to do so for the DIYs and reactions. Though the other reason I decided to do so is dialogues tend to get repetitive. So I would definitely have more variety if I have all types. Still planning to let go of one more normal since I have 3 at the moment (had 4 last time).

I don't have a Cranky, and i'm thinking of getting rid of Diana in favor of a Cranky. I wouldn't be too sad if she left. I have her amiibo card + the Cranky's amiibo card anyway. I can always swap between the two if I feel like it.

Usually I end up with multiple normals and no jocks, however in ACNH I ended up liking Dom a lot more than I expected so I have all personalities. My island currently has all eight personalities with an extra normal and lazy villager.

I do now! Just got Fang as my Cranky - a while ago, I made the decision that I would be happy with just aesthetically liking my villagers, even if it meant doubles or triples of some personalities and none of some, but recently I decided to rebalance my residents so I have at least one of every personality, and I do enjoy talking to everyone a lot more and seeing the dynamics between them when they talk to each other, too.

No, I have 3 snooties, 4 normals, 1 smug, 1 lazy and 1 peppy. Unfortunately most of my favorite are normals and snooties but I really need to cut down on at least 1 of each so I can get a jock, cranky and uchi.
