I'm kind of deciding against a Japanese/zen-themed house now and the only kicker is that my mail is backed up for days with ordered items for it.
....whoopsie.

I'm uncertain of what to do now, though. :x

I have two that are themed!! One is a school house, and one is a ryokan/japanese style inn inspired house :)

My main house doesn't have a theme at all, but I did try to have a kitchen/living room/bedroom/etc. All the essential rooms of a house, just all with different themes. My second house is a wintery hotel though so that one's kinda themed I guess. I hated ordering all the cabin furniture, my mail box was packed for days too D:

My main room is modern styled, back room is medieval themed,
my left room is a futuristic/astronomy room,
right room is my gracie room, downstairs is my game room...
And... my upstairs is my nature room. xD

So uh... no. I have themed rooms, but not full houses.

No. I have different rooms, but is rather close to being fully planned. Each with a different set:

Main Room - Ice
2nd Floor - Card
Basement - Sloppy/Cardboard
Right Room - Astro
Left Room - ?
Back Room - ?

Nope. I have themed rooms, but not a themed house. Although I do plan on making themed houses once I find the time, I'd never have one as my main house. My mayor's house in my second town is my boxing house though, but it was initially my second character's house in my previous town and I'm not going to bother changing it.

Nah, I'm over themes. I find they make the game less fun for me. I do, however, like the idea of making my house into a castle in the forest or in a field. I plan on doing this with the garden exterior and the castle renovation. The inside of the house, though, will just focus on whatever I like.

Not at the moment. I decided to complete the theme challenge, and I did that last week. For now I don't really want to work on it because of all the effort that went into that.

Eventually I'll start decorating it the way I want, though. If I've come up with an idea at that time, at least.

Kinda.. My town is set to modern.. So my house exteriors are of course set to Modern. My first house is set to Antique, my second one is Rustic and while my girl character is set to Fairy tale. Both my second and third houses are a working progress.. And I want them to get the gold exteriors!

I'm still in the process of getting my house fully renovated and paid off, but have already decided the only real benefit of a themed house is to make a bunch of random number generators happy so I shall be decorating my house with the theme of: "I thought this looked nice."

Themed rooms are way better than rooms with sets in. I just hate, hate, hate entering a house (whether it's a dream town or live town) and seeing the mermaid, gold, alpine ect. complete sets.
I like creativity and uniqueness.

Edit: And in my dream town, all my rooms are themed.

I have a breaking bad themed tent on a side character and a basement lab on my main. I'm going to turn the whole house into it and eventually I'll turn a third character's house into Saul's lawyer office.

In my first and second town I have my main characters houses like a real house. In my third town my towns theme is tropical. So one house is a tropical resort/ hotel called The Sea Breeze. One house will be a beach house. Not sure about the 3rd house. And I'm not sure what I am going to do with my 4th town.

My house won't have a theme, but I do want it to have rooms you might find in a home. (Living room, kitchen/dining room, bath, bedroom, plus a study and I'm thinking a sun room.) I won't have designated sets for each room, as I want it to have an overall flow from each room to the next. c:
