What is your favourite hearty breakfast?
I just got back from camping last week and I am remembering the awesome breakfast that is a tradition and that we have to do at least once on each camping excursion.

Menu:
Campfire Coffee (Billy can if possible)
Bacon (thick sliced Canadian)
Eggs
Breakfast sausage
Home fries (chunky cut hash browns from cold roasted potatoes)
Thick sliced, fire toasted sourdough toast - homemade wild blackberry jam
Possibly buttermilk pancakes with butter and Canadian maple syrup (if there's enough griddle space)
....
Camp chairs with foot rests within easy waddling distance after the gorge! No need to eat again for three days!

If anyone else is still reading this post, I wonder if anyone knows what "billy can coffee" is ... and 10 TBTs to the first person who can tell me exactly how it's made ... let me qualify that ... exactly how I make it!

I'm usually too lazy to make it and I can usually never eat much in the morning anyways
Gordon Ramsay styled scrambled eggs on top of toast + bacon (+ hash browns + fresh fruit) + hot milk tea

this thread made my mouth water. breakfast food is the best food!

mostly everything you listed actually!

thick cut bacon, maple breakfast sausage (or spicy patties), canadian bacon, eggs (scrambled), home fries, buttermilk waffles with butter & maple syrup, some fresh fruit & sourdough toast with strawberry or blackberry jam <3333

oh and a nice tall glass of ice cold orange juice or milk!

i can't eat a lot in the morning lol, i always eat yoghurt or something because bacon, eggs, bread etc makes me feel sick :|

nope and ye i don't eat much in the morning.. coffee and yoghurt, sometimes bread if we have or i feel extra hungry

At Cora's (a Canadian breakfast chain) I always get this thing that's an omelette wrapped in a crepe covered in hollandaise sauce. It also comes with toast and a ton of fresh fruit. It's my favourite breakfast of all time.

I usually don't eat breakfast but now a days work is too energy demanding so I just eat oatmeal with fruits and nuts. Too lazy to cook anything serious though. Usually I'll make rice and eggs or something.

my fave at home is two eggs fried over-medium or over-well, bacon or corned beef hash, and leftover rice lightly fried with minced garlic; plus strong cuban style coffee with cream.

at restaurants i like those combo platters that have an omelet, a side of bacon or sausage, and pancakes (preferably chocolate chip or pumpkin depending on the time of year). (Cracker Barrel throws in biscuits and gravy, ham steak, and cheese grits).

we made Full English Breakfast at home a few times ,that was nice and savory-- fried eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, grilled tomato and mushrooms, plus toast.

Sounds lush!

I eat two slices of brown bread toasted with jam every morning, how exciting is that? I may even go for cereal if I'm craving it.

tbh i usually don't have breakfast but if i do feel hungry then usually just cereal

I'm pretty relaxed about what and when I eat for meals, but tbh, those really popular eggs, bacon (tofu bacon for me), and pancakes, always sounds tasty. I often have rice for breakfast though, and often like to try to incorporate fruits or vegetables into breakfast.

Yum Yum !!! lol
We love our eggs the same way ... lol ... over medium or over well (I prefer my yolks to be only slightly runny, even with Eggs Benedict!)
I love the sound of that "strong cuban style coffee with cream"!

Scrambled eggs with cheese melted on top (sometimes I put a bit of cream cheese before I cook them?? Is that weird????) and toast with either strawberry or blackberry jam, and shredded hash browns. Not really too big on bacon, but thick Canadian bacon is always nice if I'm still somehow (miraculously) feeling hungry.

i always love smoothies and yogurt with a cup of coffee. not much of a breakfast eater to be honest. i always just eat or drink fruit/smoothies. and i drink coffee throughout the entire day

Ohhh something like what you had is what I love! I also went camping once near this farm, it was one day though lol. We had the following;

-Scrambled Eggs
-Hash Browns (grated)
-Cooked ground meat/Hotdogs
-Turkey Bacon
-Toasted Bread
