Do you guys pluck your weeds before terraforming? Why or why not?

as soon as i could access the rest of my islands i plucked all my weeds. it's not that i don't like them, i just wanted them for the nook miles achievement and to have for crafting. i also kinda plucked them for specifically terraforming; i know that i'll probably mess with almost every aspect on island and to have weeds would be inconvenient. but after u pick up weeds u can replant them (but i think they only show up as clovers), so if i ever want them back that's an option.

Yes. They make the town look like garbage, and during the beginning stages, it got extremely frustrating when a balloon present would despawn due to weeds, or how you had to clean around trees and rocks before getting resources.

I plucked every single weed on the bottom level of my island on the first day. The next day, all of them across the river. The next day, my cliffs were perfectly clear. OCD powers goooo

I'm even removing all of my trees to prepare for terraforming >: ) Get out of my way, nature!!

yup, i no longer have many weeds in my town so i keep them for the nook miles + quest to sell 20 weeds

As soon as I unlocked terraforming I started using them to decorate. I don’t care about getting 5 stars or the golden watering can, and I find them adorable!

First off, sincere thanks for this thread just for letting me know that I didn’t have to pluck them to terraform; that’s a huge relief and will save me so much time! ^ｪ^

That aside, I’m on team weed as well
(which sounds like more of a statement than I want it to lol)

I think they’re cute and give a natural, lush appearance to the areas I’m preserving as “wild”. Without some the ground in open areas just looks too flat and plasticy to me—like it’s covered in green frosting. The weeds add some nice visual texture to liven things up imo

I enjoy a lot of the items I can make with weeds so I plucked mine.

I like the weeds, I find it funny how they just vanish when you break a cliff or make a pond though lol.
I've got like 1000 stored, I'm not really sure if I want them around town or not. I've planted a few in an "unkempt" area to make it look rustic and it looks nice after a couple of days when the weeds have matured, but I also want the NM achievements.

I like hoarding things. I've got like 800 weeds in my storage. Never know when you'll need something! Plus it goes towards the Nook Miles task.

I pluck my weeds as I get the nook miles quest for it, or if they're in the way terraforming. but when you're grinding nook miles, getting 100 miles for selling 20 weeds isn't a bad deal.
