Do you guys have any unnecessary inclines or bridges?

I'm starting to terraform my island and I realized that some of my inclines/bridges are technically redundant as I have connected land that I could use instead of the bridges/inclines. But..... for the sake of symmetry I built extra inclines/bridges. Do any of you guys do this as well where the use of your inclines/bridges are more for aesthetics than functional or maybe both?

I have 4 inclines literally just going up to my house with a waterfall inbetween them, so that my house looks cool. I wouldn't take them away though because i'm fine with using the ladder to get up to certain places on my island, it makes it feel like more of a private space really (and makes it my own area where the villagers can't reach haha). I only have 2 bridges as well, and I feel like any more than 3 would just make my island too cluttered and split up, whereas I prefer my island to have some open spaces. Same thing with the vaulting pole as the ladder though, I wouldn't be against making sectioned off little plateau's that I only I can access.

I have 2 inclines going up to my house and 2 going up to my museum! I use the 8 and currently I'm not missing any

I suppose I do waste one incline to reach a lighthouse which takes up the entirety of the space above. But I needed 10+ inclines to achieve everything I wanted, so I'll take it for now.

I'm not really focused on symmetry but I have a few bridges that I feel are just to look pretty. I have a very European town feel but have a red zen bridge just chillin because i think it's so beautiful. I'll fix that area up eventually haha

For inclines, I just can't get enough, 8 is not enough!

Have an incline just for the back of my house to make it look like there's a raised deck :)

I do a mix of both aesthetic and functional. At one part of my island have symmetric inclines that dip into a valley, but they also serve a function in connecting as going around would be a hassle.
I fell like that 8 inclines isn't enough to do purely aesthetic stuff unless your island is mostly flat.

Most of my inclines or bridges are there for convenience of not having to run far away to get where you want to be without a ladder or vaulting pole.
I have 6 inclines currently, but I probably could have gotten away with only using 4. I would only really need 2 bridges, but I have 6 of those too.
Before I redesigned my island, I literally had 4 inclines that just lead up to my house so I had a quick way to get down from the highest incline you can build on.

I have a lot of ones that are technically redundant, but are also convenient. I'm less stingy with bridges, since I don't need a ton, then I am with inclines since I've had to make some tough choices as to where to put those. With bridges, I have so many "extras", I even did a neat pond/bridge leading up to Merry's house-

It's literally just a small pond with a bridge across it, but it LOOKS really neat. Also, fun fact, bridges DO NOT make ponds into rivers. I worried they would, but nope!

ooof i have two inclines that are vertical from each other in my wooden area like theyre just separated by a small seating area i made. I also have an incline for an area thats just my heart pond and some trees lol and i decorated my museum with 2 inclines for no reason just bc it looked pretty bznkssjsis

sometimes wasting and incline or bridge for aesthetics is good

Yup. I even redid them (before they were not centered).

This area is relatively loosely based on the Crossroads in Dragon Age Inquisition; it along with the rest of my island is WIP.

As you can see, the steps aren’t really necessary since there are only mirrors ( Eluvians), palm trees, and simple panels. I should have invested first in an incline leading to my beaches, but since everything is still WIP, I wanted to wait until I was sure that my paths, cliffs and overall layout weren’t going to change later.

I have 8 inclines and 4 bridges right now and I make generous use of all of them. I suppose I could try doing something neat with my remaining bridges, though! :D

I have this one incline leading to a bathhouse, just realized it’s pointless, because I have no reason to elevate the bathhouse xD probably going to take it off later on, but am too busy working on some new projects

For me, I figured that since we can have 8 inclines and 8 bridges, then I might as well use all of them! So while most are practical to make getting to places easier, some lead to areas that I don't use often and are mainly for aesthetic. You can really do whatever you want! :D

I have one useless bridge, but I'm planning on getting rid of it as soon as I can be bothered.

Every single one of my bridges and/or inclines serve a purpose, whether it be form or function.
