Do you go all out for every house in HHP?

I've seen some really fancy done interiors for vacation houses on HHP and it made me wonder if everyone is putting in that much effort, or if it's just a social media show-off type play? Do you guys make all your houses super fancy or just for villagers you like?

When I finally got the DLC, I wanted to do things like that as well, though you are really limited in what items you get at the start. So I thought "Well I'll unlock more and then go all out and make beautiful houses" but then after doing house...after house...and rooms getting bigger...doing exteriors...doing the outdoors...I found I got burnt out SO fast and I have honestly no desire to design another house at all. I'm honestly bored of it so I usually just used the requested items and maybe custom color them. For exteriors I just plop down a bunch of trees and flowers and maybe a path. If it's a villager I really like I may do a bit more, but most of the time now I put in minimal effort. At this point I'm just trying to do enough to unlock being able to customize my own villager's houses.

Is there a way to get over the slump, or is it normal that I'm tired of it really fast? I had the same issue when Happy Home Designer came out too, which is essentially the exact same game. Burn out was soooo fast. Does the dlc ever get less repetitive, or am I doomed to just keep being burnt out? I wanted to go all out for the houses but I'm just so bored of it. I'd take a break from it if I didn't want to unlock my own villager house remodels.

I got bored decorating pretty fast too, especially for villagers I didn't care for.

You can just put the 3 requested items down and they will think it's the best thing ever. Though if finish pretty quickly, they will just make a comment saying "Wow, that was fast".

You can always come back to the house in order to edit the design, so there's no worries on that front.

I spent at least a few hours on each house. I did maybe 1-2 a day. But now I'm too scared to open the game and waste an entire day playing HHP 😖 I think it makes sense to go all out designing a house, because that's the whole point of the DLC, right? Interior decoration! Well, at least for the villagers I like, anyway

I played Happy Home Designer when it came out and that got very repetitive for me. I think it will be the same with HHP, which is why you gotta pace yourself.

Honestly I might do this just to get to 30, I have 9 left to do, so I can unlock my own villager redesign and then go back and re-do houses if I feel like it.

Yeah, those last 10 felt like a grind when you want to customize villager houses. Keep note there's a few more things you unlock after 30 houses, but no one seems to talk about them.

I don't go instagram level all out on the houses I design in HHP, but I do try and put in a lot of effort as to make them look nice. At the same time however I don't play HHP every time I play NH and if I do I typically try and design only one house while I play, otherwise I feel like I'd get super burnt out too

I admit that I rushed through the whole thing just to unlock everything immediately. But that doesn't really bother me since I can go back and do it properly. Besides, most requests are so unusual and repetitive that it can get demotivating. Especially if it's a villager that I'm not really fond of.

Of course, I just don't throw in random stuff and call it interior design. I still give some effort and make it presentable while being minimalistic. I still spend at least 10 minutes in each house. For example:

Also, you get used to the items as you keep using them, so it's pretty much muscle memory when selecting them and you also get faster.

Like what? I saw something about 5 facilities and 3 roommates or something like that?

I try to do all the houses because I wanted to use all of the new furniture so yeah I tried to do as many requests as possible, even for villagers I may not have liked. Doing some requests felt pretty redundant after awhile so I decided to take a break from it. HHP is one of the features that I would go to again if I felt like I was having a creative block. Its good practice so doing requests over and over again can help me get some good ideas I would want for my own island homes.

I finish them till I'm satisfied. Sometimes, I'll finish them halfway and then come back later when I find the perfect roommate or when I'm fresh with more ideas. I never do it for social media or you know the, "perfect" look.

Even when their room theme is repetitive, like Poncho asked for something Western, I was like, "Nah, I'mma make a fight club for you". Then because his initial idea was Western, I made his pro wrestler outfit cowboy-like.

If it makes me laugh, then I'm good to go.

I speed through a lot of them until I find a villager I like, and then I go all out. After a while I go back to other villagers to find them room mates and work on their houses a bit more.

No, I ended up rushing through a lot of houses to unlock things faster and to get all the villagers on my archipelago faster. Usually I'll only go "all out" on a house if it's for a villager on my island or I have a good idea of what I want to do with that request at that time. I do want to revisit several vacation homes at some point and do them right, though.

I've been taking an hour or two for each one I do, but I haven't done very many--I just completed the school a few trips ago. But I'm not in a hurry, and I don't "go to work" every day--if I don't have enough time to play AC for hours at a time, I don't bother going to Paradise Planning. I haven't gotten around to collecting most of these furniture items myself, so it's fun for me just to see what options are out there. Because I take so much time with them, I don't foresee myself revisiting any of the designs unless there's something big that I'd like to add. Nothing wrong with skipping through it though, as long as you're getting what you want out of it.

I do! I will say some I do not but the ones that I try really hard on take atleast a few hours which is insane and the fact that the ones that I "do not put much effort into" take a whole hour still scares me. I would only take 10 mins to finish a HHD house and then HHP is like "bestie let me spend your day for you." So YAY

HHP isn't for everyone, some people are just not into designing and thats okay.
It's also important to not force yourself to do requests until you feel inspired.

Personally, I like to go all out with my designs even if I don't like the client.
Some designs take longer than others depending on the request.

Sometimes I don't go by the original request and do my own thing.
For example, I made Rasher to be a serial killer hiding in the woods.
I also made Doby a crime writer who's secretly a serial killer who kills and writes about his own murders.
If you can't tell, I'm a huge true crime fan :ROFLMAO:

As a user who doesn't have the required path meetings to decorate my island with, I choose to rush it all out by meeting the requirement furniture the client asks for and repeat until I finished with them all. I try to do at least 10 a day so I won't feel boredom.

When I feel satisfied with the paths I have to start decorating my island with I'll be sure to go all out on my designs.

If you care to check out my house I did for Flip, which is the only one I did as of so far, check it out in the Happy Home Paradise Screenshot Thread and look between late november.

No not really. SInce I unlocked an app that lets you make a Room concept I felt no need to go all out. I might make a few changes but thats it. I sometimes wonder if this DLC would've had like a grading system where it shows how well the room is for the villager, but if you just put only the items that the villager wants then thats it. To me that just feels too cheap. I understand that they want everyone to have the freedom to do what they want with the villager homes. but it gets really strange when you're trying to make a vacation home for a villager and if you only do little effort they don't seem to care all that much. Its making me not want to go all out.

I try to decorate whatever house I am at the best I can with the items I currently have unlocked. However I don't cover every square inch of a home. I haven't decorated a house in a long time. Probably a tad over a month. My island is still new, so that could be the reason why really. The last time I went to HHP I unlocked the crafting recipe for partitions. I don't know how far that is but that is where I am at.
I suspect that many people are going through HHP too fast. Honestly I wouldn't do more than 1 or 2 properties a day if you decide to play it daily. It does seem pretty repetitive.

It does get repetitive when you see villagers who ask for similar themes as each other.
