Do you generally get along better with younger people or older people?

Do you generally get along more with people older than you or younger than you? How old are you, and how old are they?

I am 21 years old and I tend to get along more with younger people. For the most part, my friends are between the ages of 15 and 18. How about you?

Also, I'm currently 24. I only have a handful of friends (IRL) who are younger than me lol.

When I was younger, in my teens, I usually got along better with people who were a bit older than me because they were more mature. I remember my senior year of high school, I had no friends because all of my friends had graduated a year or two before me.

However, now that I'm older, I get along with people in a wider age range. People who are younger than me are now just as mature as I am and because of my hobbies and interests, I often have more in common with younger people now.

Older for sure. I always have, even as a kid I got along with adults better than other kids. I get along with, and for the most part like, all of my older workmates whereas I don't really fit in with the ones younger than me. I only really have two friends irl who are younger than me, and the rest are my age or older. Same goes for online friends actually.

I'd like to say both? I'm pretty in the middle of the age range in my close friend group. In college last year, however, nearly everybody there was older than me & I got along pretty good with them. At concerts most people I met were younger than me, so I'd say I found the best of both worlds

Older and younger actually. I hardly get along with people my age because they are either uninteresting or just too mainstream and not sharing one bit of interest and "lol growing up" so yeah. Older people are generally more interesting because they can actually discuss things on mature levels and once they are past the babby craze and 20s-30s youth culture of today they are interesting.

I talk to younger people more because I'm too shy around people my age. For some reason I feel less intimidated when talking to younger people. I don't have any close friends that are my age

Hmm most of my close friends are from my high school classes so we’re pretty much the same age although most of them are a month or two younger than me. My friends that I made in university are a few years older than me though so I’d say if we average it out older

I'm great at getting along with old folk, prob because I like the same kinda things they do, and I tend to have a more mature outlook on life, so I relate to them better. Besides they're usually hella cool to chill with

Usually kids find me interesting, because of my haircolour (I'm a running rainbow, always changing colour)
and I am pretty good with kids, so... xD

But I am actually prefering older people to talk to, because I feel less judged to be honest.
I'm living in France and I have a lot of trouble speaking to people in general (very shy / anxiety)
and the only person I am talking to in french without really a problem is a +60yo woman
because I feel zero judged from her. Meanwhile younger ones I feel like they laugh at me
without even knowing me.
