Do you find yourself not playing as much ACNH anymore?

i have even more time than i did when the game was released & i find myself playing less than i used to. i think i'm just not as into the game because there's nothing really left to do. waiting for an update might make me pick the game back up for longer, but even that may be short lived.

I'm slowing down as well as I'm getting busy by the day because of work, plus I have a lot of piled up requirements from school (yey I love myself for not doing it when I have a lot of time) :( I used to have the time to do my dailies before like hitting my rocks, chopping woods, collecting fossils, shaking trees for furniture drops, now I'm too busy to even dig my fossils or hit my rocks! I still open up my game daily but I can't seem to focus on the game now, I just found out tonight (around 10:45pm at my time) that Lolly was sick because I didn't play much today, the Nook's Cranny is already closed so I just got myself be stung by a wasp so that one of my villagers would give me medicine in return so that I could give it to Lolly lol I'm hoping I can rekindle the fire within me and actually do something worthwhile like terraform my island, I really want to make my island look good now tbh lol, I'm already lagging behind despite having played for like 300+ hours in a month

Yes I just started working again and that reduces my play time to only three hours. And since I'm playing xenoblade chronicles as well I try to do everything so quickly in new horizons and jump to the other. Also since I'm so tired from work I also don't get the motivation. Today I'll try to make the most of it since I'm free. I still have a lot of fish to catch and hopefully snag some summer diys. I've only got one so far 😭

My boyfriend has pretty much stopped playing, but I'm still playing every other day, only for about half an hour though as I do my daily stuff.

I've got to admit I've ran out of things I wanted to do, I want to design my island but the current furniture doesn't appeal to me so much so I'm waiting for more content I suppose

I'm trying to only play an hour or two each day to avoid burning myself out. I'm still having fun playing and clocked over 170+ hours now. I totally understand why people are slowing down on playing New Horizons. We've all burned at least 100 hours or more thanks to quarantine and that's a lot of playtime! Surely it's worth my money but it depends on each person. From what I see, Animal Crossing is all about long-term gameplay unlike most game genres. As I've said on another thread, no game is safe from being burnt out if played many hours at a time.

I spend mostly a few hours a day now, compared to the 4 to 8 hours a day I pulled when the game first came out mostly like what I used to do with NL, speaking of, I may just start a new town for the games anniversary (Which was yesterday)

Also, I have games I want to play/finish... so there’s that (also...I have like 450hrs in this game...and I wanted to pull back a little, if it wasn’t for quarantine, it be more like 225 hours) I’ll tell you, my island doesn’t seem like I spent that many hours on it...

I'll probably play a lot more once we get more stuff (new=more playtime)

for now, I just come on, shake trees for wasps/furniture, check stores/nook stop, talk to my villagers, get my beach daily diy/scanning in an amiibo to get a diy I don’t have, finding the visitor of the day, and coming back on at night to see if I have any nightly visitors if I didn’t find any during the day, and since it’s June, I’m seeing Harvey for the photoshoot with Reese/Cyrus... (also, I need to catch some of the new fish/bugs that came this month...)

So yeah theres that...

Starting to slow down, but I still play for a good hour at least, sometimes more especially on weekends. My island isnt "done" yet, so that's the main reason why.

I did kind of take a 2 week break a little while ago after some burn out.

I haven’t touched the game in a while and I keep forgetting to do so in order to do the wedding event. I kinda just moved on since there really isn’t much of and incentive to keep playing atm.

I would suggest buy a shovel from Nook's Cranny, and some customization kits. Just repair your hovel by customizing it. And if you miss out, and it breaks, just buy another one and repeat. Shovels aren't worth the materials.
Just buy them at the store, I haven't crafted a tool for so long except for the stone axe
True! I might do this from now on since it slipped my mind that you can buy flimsy shovels and I have like 1,000s of iron ores. Thanks for the tip!

I did slow down a lot too, mostly because after 2/3 months of quarantine and now that we're allowed to see people again in my country, I kinda want to do other things with my day haha. I'm also a bit burnt out as I spent around 5-6h each day on it. But I still log in daily to talk to my villagers, work on areas a bit, or just walk around.
Excited for future updates though!

After I finished my island and showed my boyfriend everything I’ve been playing maybe 20 minutes max, but it’ll change once they update the game or fall rolls around.

I did at first but now my creativity is going crazy and I'm playing more. Finished some landscaping and I'm actually happy about it! :')

I've slowed down a lot as well. I kinda burnt myself out starting over too many times, but I now have my island up and running and are currently in the process of moving my unwanted villagers out with amiibo cards. It's gonna take awhile, but I'm currently playing another game trying to finish that one up before the DLC comes out this month. So yeah, I've slowed down a lot, but taking a small break and not playing too much for awhile and focusing on something else has really helped me. :)

I still play a lot. I finished decorating my island but I still have a lot of goals to accomplish such as decorating my inside house, breeding blue roses, and helping my family/friends get items or villagers they want. (I don't time travel unless I'm moving a villager in/out.) so I still have an agenda!

I've been playing practically nonstop lately, but I did slow down a lot before the beginning of June. The summer fish and bugs and everything pulled me back in. Late April-May I played a lot less; I burned myself out slightly and had other things I was focusing on. However now I'm finding my playing habits entirely revitalized to the point where I can't tear myself away to sleep at night, lol. I've finally gotten back into designing and having ideas for my game so I guess that's part of why I'm avidly enjoying it again.

I do understand playing less though, for a while there it was all I could do to get myself to do my daily AC chores! I feel like a lot of things come more easily in NH than past AC games so it takes less time for ideas and dreams to be realized, causing me to lose interest faster some days.

Nah, I'm still playing a lot. I think part of it is cause I like to give myself a "project" to work on every day. For example, yesterday I worked on landscaping around my Resident Services. Today, I plan to try to catch all the new June fish I haven't caught yet.

Whereas I have a friend who planned her entire island out down to the wire before the game came out and she worked on it nonstop - her island was done by the end of April, so beyond catching new fish and bugs, she doesn't really have anything else to do.

I haven't played in over a week, I'm working alot more now and plus I feel like terraforming my island is alot of work I might restart my town eventually!

I have slowed down my play time a little bit. I'm more focused on getting Redd's artwork, decorating the island + houses, and trying to get certain fish for decoration.

I don't play less than in the start of the game, but I have been an on and off player from the start. Sometimes I play for hours, next day only a quarter of an hour, etc. Just depends on my mood of the day. I can safely say I still enjoy the game very much and it doesn't bore me.. if I don't feel like playing on I certain day, I just don't. I don't really feel any pressure in this game due to the moving mechanics being far easier to manage. It doesn't bring me any stress and I love it! :)
