Just recently tbh, most of my friends who started about the same time as me just stopped playing or rarely go on anymore. I find myself ONLY playing for 20-30mins a day now. Which kinda makes me sad despite the new events and shark season (North Hemi). What about everyone else? Has your playtime slowed down or pretty much the same?
It's slowed down a good bit, but that's not a bad thing - the amount I play now is more sustainable over a long period, and when I get an idea I still have long stretches of activity until the idea is concluded. I definitely don't want to get burned out, and I really enjoy the time I do spend in the game.
yes, my play time has definitely slowed. i actually didn't play for almost all of may as i focused on (my last semester of!) school, and even now i don't play every single day. i still play for hours though, usually terraforming or bug catching
i still play every day but i find that i mainly play just to do my daily tasks and trades and that i’m not really dedicating any time to landscaping or decorating my island aha
yea I play everyday, but for 1 hour at most nowadays. I think I've gotten into the rhythm of daily play and do a little bit of designing at a time to not get burnt out unless im particularly motivated. I stopped time traveling entirely and rarely trade online now to help myself have some stretch goals. I expect this kinda gameplay to continue until Nintendo trickles in some larger updates which, unfortunately, are taking a lot longer to come through than I expected. I fully expected diving to be out by now since Summer started for Northern Hem as well as smaller furniture based updates outside of just the wedding set, but here we are.
yeah I'm suuuper burned out, the game feels like a chore at this point unfortunately
sad thing is that my island is only about half developed I wish I had a drive to actually design things
I haven’t missed a day since I got the game. I play in the morning to check shops and turnips and again in the afternoon/ evening usually with a break in between
It could be that the celebrity interest in it has faded and it's not talked about as much because when this first came out everyone from AOC to Elijah Wood, Danny Trejo, Chrissy Tiegen were playing it, now its back to the hardcore fans who have been with this game since the GameCube Original Edition like myself, also I seriously hope they add more beachy stuff because mine can't get beachy enough hahahah
i play more NL than NH as i enjoy NL better, though NH is still really fun and i still love it.
i haven't played NH for all of May, and not that much in April either.
i mostly played the day it was released as we bought it on the same day, and the rest of March and a little in April until i didn't really feel like playing as much. i'd say it's been about 2 months since i've played but i was just about to grab it until i saw this thread. so, i'm gonna go play now.
I'm still playing but I'm not as aggressively trading anymore. I'm going to start trashing my dupe diys because it's not worth the hassle to trade. The only times I'm playing all day is the weekends if I don't have any other games planned.
I've been playing every day since launch but I've been feeling a bit burnt out these past few weeks. I used to play for hours on end but now I really only get on for an hour, maybe more if I'm not too lazy to do trades
I've slowed down somewhat, but I'm still managing to play an hour a day or so just doing my daily routine and trades and all that. I'm sure I'll gradually slow down some more as I manage to complete more and more goals and have less and less to try and work towards, but that's okay, that's to be expected.
Ive slowed down for sure I went from 10 hrs a day to probably like 4-5? so just cut my time in half lol, but i do actually take a few days here and there where i wont play at all? I'll just log in to do a trade then log off and play some league. LOL
Slowing down is just part of the usual life cycle of an Animal Crossing game. Eventually it becomes a game you check on for a bit each day to see if anything's new, and it just changes day by day alongside your real life.
Something unique to this game's experience is though, we were promised more content but have been left waiting an unexpectedly long time. Some were expecting announcements to happen about now because Nintendo usually has substantial things planned for releasing alongside E3, but they've been oddly quiet...
I downloaded the game on the day of launch but then put off starting the game for three weeks because I was afraid I would play too much. An important project at work ended and I started playing and... I've been playing an average of 6+ hours a week. Not slowing down much as far as I can see for now... I guess I am 3 weeks behind everyone so we'll see.
