okay so sometimes i'll have someone come into my town to get some items or a villager or something and as soon as they're done i find it really awkward? because i'm never sure if i should kick them out then or if they're gonna hang around and explore or something. i personally kind of like running around and watching the other person explore my town or like playing hide and seek or something. like does anyone else feel awkward about it? it there some kind of etiquette for this kind of stuff or should i always just kick people out ;___;?

I don't really find it awkward.

I don't like people wandering my town so the after we complete the trade, I just say "See you later then and thank you!" and then kinda wait for them to say bye before I kick them out.

It's really up to you. After a trade, you can ask your visitor if they want to look around your town or something.

I let people run around, but they normally say something not relevant or don't respond and then it does get kinda awkward

I let people run around, but then I start panicking when I don't know where they are xD

Eh, I feel a little awkward but that's mostly because I'm garbage at typing with the keyboard and it takes me forever just to type out something (especially since I tend to be chatty). Generally, I'll end things right after a trade/expect others to do the same. It makes me super nervous if someone does a trade and then runs off away from the station.

I'd just ask them what they want to do. I never really let anyone explore after a trade since my town isn't really ready yet for showing off, but I love it when people want to give a tour of their town if I'm visiting them. Unless I'm really busy with other trades or have to go, I almost always say yes. I usually just ask something along the lines of, "I'll end it then?" since I'm okay with letting people shop or things like that at least.

I find it awkward because I usually just say "bye" and end the session quickly which doesn't even give enough time for the visitor to say "bye". >_>

I usually say "You can end now" after finishing a trade or pickup in someone else's town. Otherwise, they say thanks, and I say "Ending now, good bye!" or something.

Only occasionally do people ask to look around, and I usually say yes. I don't keep important things lying around, and stuff like hybrids aren't that bad if they're stolen.
Touch my gold roses though... ded

Well, I usually ask if they are done and if they want me to end, or tell them to let me know when they are done so I can end (if there's only one person visiting).. and unless they wanna look around or visit shops before going back. which I usually say yes to.. :3

I guess communication is the key. No need to feel awkward - just chat with others :3 everyone I met so far has been very friendly & polite :)

If I'm hosting the trade and they're still collecting items, I just use that time to type my thanks and say goodbye, do an animation, and then end session. If they're hosting the trade, then yeah, I feel a little awkward. I would just thank them and sometimes follow up with "I'm ready! :)" so they can end it sooner.

Nah, they usually leave anyway, but I have no problems if they stick around to talk to my neighbors or to just talk in general.

Though it does feel weird if they're over to sell turnips or whatever and they just stand there doing nothing.

The only trades that I've done in other people's towns were villager adoptions and, once I'd gotten the villager to agree to move, I thanked the person for letting me come over and gone straight to the train station. I've also done one trade where I bought an item. I dropped the bells and took my item, thanked the person and ended the session.

I do find them rly awkward so I don't do them very often lol

it's kind of awkward. i mean they're here to trade and that should be it. unless they have given me a heads up about wanting to explore, i usually say thanks and bye, wait for a reply (or not) and end session.

;__; once had a really awk situation where someone kept asking to see my town while she was supposed to be dropping payment. i got all paranoid cause i always drop my items everywhere (and go back to clean later). she later asks "can I talk to Ankha"... and while I was typing, she answers herself "no." and I'm like mmmkaaaaay. kthxbye.

I used to feel awkward, but not anymore. When doing a trade, I just say thank you, and have a great day/night.Then I wait for them to respond. Then I send them home.

I have traded in towns where the person would not say hi, and sent me home before I could thank them.I don't care for that.lol.

If it's someone who I'm friends with or that I know I can trust then I'm okay. I don't really have people over at my town, so I don't have to worry about my town.

I don't mind that people walk around in my town.. Buut my town is a bit weird, cause my villagers wear the silly designs I have made and my town is full of odd face boards, so I'm feeling a bit awkward when they see them xD
I'm usually just saying bye and thanks and then ending the sesssion, when someone comes to get villagers :3 Sometimes they ask though and I just let them see the town if they want to.

It was kind of awkward to me when I was first started playing online, because I didn't have a good grasp on how wifi stuff worked (including etiquette), but now it's usually fine... I think it's a lot more uncomfortable when you are expecting someone to come to your town.. any minute now, and like 45 minutes go by.
