I said no because I don't believe in stupid questions. Even if I personally think something seems stupid, the question might have relevance to someone else. One man's trash is another man's treasure after all.

I voted "no". I don't think people ask *stupid* questions. Thoughtless - possibly. Repetitive, yes. Unnecessary - frequently. Stupid - no, I don't think so. That's more due to semantics than anything of course, but I don't think it's the questions themselves that cause problems around here (or anywhere really). The reasoning behind asking particular questions may be questionable (google is a wonderful thing, as is the 'search' bar!), but that's a matter of personal taste.

If I don't feel like explaining how ____ or ____ works for the billionth time, I'll keep scrolling. When I'm feeling especially petty I'll roll my eyes and occassionally mutter scathing commentary about people being unable to google or 'search' their own answers, and expecting others to spoonfeed them information. But I try not to dwell on those kinds of thoughts. It's not productive, nor a mindset I want to encourage.
