Do you feel it's safe to trade villagers at this point?

How common are the glitches?
I still see people trading away on the forum.
I posted my Rowan the Jock Tiger for adoption today (he's moving tomorrow. Though I don't really expect anything for him really but I thought I'd post in the off-chance he could be someone's dreamie) but I was wondering how safe it would be to trade him for, say, another jock (I'm on the lookout for either Mac or Tad).
Is my best bet just going Island hopping at this point?
Is it safe to get him adopted out (he's my starter villager)?
I'd hate for anyone's game to glitch but it seems like so many people are trading nowadays with no issues.

I think its down to luck. I traded yesterday a Bunnie that was forced out by a random camper and the person that wanted Bunnie acknowledged the risk and still adopted her. Bunnie made it okay to her island and she TT a few days to check if she will still be there, and she was.

I wouldn't worry about villagers that ask to move away naturally, only villagers forced out by amiibos or campers.

i have traded villagers and my game hasn't glitched in any way so far
as long as the villagers your trading haven't been forced out by amiibos, your game will be fine

No, he definitely hasn't.
He's my starter jock. But I guess my only risk would be to adopt from someone who was forced out.

I don't. I've posted on another thread that I was looking for Bill, but afterwards, I thought about all the glitches and got discouraged to trade. I don't even have problems with any of my villagers rn, so I would really only trade for a couple villagers IF I knew there wasn't any risk of glitches AND if I wouldn't have to pay an exorbitant amount of bells (I don't even consider NMTs as currency because yeah, I won't feed this BS economy).

After the 1.1.2 update there shouldn’t be any problems with villagers glitching even through being forced out by amiibos!

A lot of people are reporting glitches and they seem to be more widespread than before the patch, so I would say do it at your own risk. I posted a poll and roughly 75% of the people who voted had not personally experienced any of the villager glitches.

Natural move out? Sure. Forced out by amiibo? I'm not risking it. I've moved in one villager by amiibo for myself and did not trade the leaver.

I wouldn't trade from the forum unless a screenshot is provided showing a natural move out until these glitches are positively, absolutely fixed.

Once I get a space, I'll be island hopping with tickets and optimism.

Well, I got an offer for Rowan to trade him for some floral crowns which is what I was looking for.
He's 100% a natural move-out since he's my starter jock.
After he's gone, I'll do some island hopping (Question - can I do that right after he's adopted or do I need to wait a day for his house to disappear?).
