Do you feel bad about kicking villagers out via amiibo move-ins?

Out of sight out of mind. I feel worse saying 'yes' when they ask because they get all sentimental, but if I don't see it and the camper is just like "turns out they were looking to bail on your cheap ass anyway" then I'm good with it.

Not to the said villager, but just by getting your dream villagers in by amiibo card. It takes away the magic of getting the villagers by yourself. I mean, just like shiny hunting, finding a villager you really want by the mystery islands is far more magical, rewarding and makes you feel accomplished then to just get them by amiibo card.
My 120 island hop in one sitting 2 days ago has told me that this is a lie unless you TT and can quickly get an open plot in a few irl days instead of 23 days...

Lmao. Joking aside (ok it was a half joke half truth) there really is something great about just randomly finding them or them randomly spawning in your campsite without you using any sort of spawning methods.
I got Julian (my #5 dreamie) through the islands and Genji (my #7) through campsite. I was so elated to just randomly have them show up!
But Kabuki (my #1) I did amiibo. The first time inviting him. Seeing him accept to visit. It was... amazing. I think i invited him about 7 times (not always doing his task cuz didnt wanna lol) just because I wanted to see him more. I think since he is just so high on my "idgaf about my other villagers, i just need him" list that any method made me so happy cuz i got to see him.

i thought it wouldn't bother me, but them being instantly in boxes is kinda rude? if it helps, the conversation is so repetitive anyway that it doesn't feel natural. they feel very computerized in a sense that everyone is "thinking of moving out" and it's just randomly ANY villagers on you island lol. same goes for campsite villagers & people who do the reset trick.

personally, i like all my villagers so i won't be able to choose if i'll kick out via amiibo. so i get what you're saying that i'd rather wait and see who is actually thinking of moving out.

I felt bad when I kicked Zucker out, I really liked having Zucker around, but I wanted Tom to move into my island. I found someone looking for Zucker so he could go to a new home, but yeah once I went to talk to him and he was in boxes I felt bad. I'm gonna miss having him around.

it's the fact that you go to his house right at that very moment and they just happen to be in boxes. felt so rushed. maybe for people that tt this is not a huge deal for them, but i don't so it's very noticeable that it feels like a literal kick out.

Wait... so I think I had no idea how the move-out mechanics work in this case.
Is the villager who has been kicked out via the amiibo going to be in boxes the next day and will I still get a chance to get them adopted?
I've never done it so I thought that they get replaced by the amiibo villager right away... oops!

No I don’t. I knew when I moved Aurora and a Blanche that I was doing it for the greater good...to find Judy. Now I found her and they are back with me as well.

The kicked-out villager will be in boxes immediately. They will move out the following the day. While they're still in boxes, they can be adopted like a natural move-out. But they don't just disappear immediately.

Amiibo move outs are in boxes the same day you agree to let the amiibo camper move in. Then the next day the plot says it is sold to the amiibo camper. The day after that the villager is unpacking. Then the final day they are moved in. So 4 days.

Oh, I see. Thanks for clarifying.
Makes me feel a little bit better. I don't know why I thought that for some reason they just get replaced immediately.

This is the reason why I don't use amiibos I prefer if my villagers move out naturally on their own I would feel too bad just kicking them out.

I do appreciate that whoever you kick out says they were planning on moving and never got around to telling you. Makes me feel a little less guilty. But only a little!

Yeah, that is nice, I must say.
I suppose I'll try to raise my friendship with some villagers as I'd love to get more villager photos before they move our for good (so far, only Norma gave me one).

I am actually torn on this. On one hand, I recently got some amiibo cards which includes Kid Cat (the final villager for my golden trio) but I want to look for him during island hopping or through campsite so I plan not to scan him unless I get unlucky with island hopping or no one wants to move out.

On another, I have gotten close with my villagers that it's hard to kick them out through amiibo. So far I have no luck with them requesting to move out. They seems to continue giving me gifts so I feel more guilty. 😂

I enjoy island hopping too - though I don't use it for dreamie hunts, in particular.
I kind of want to experience more villagers this time around before deciding on my permanent ones (I know now for sure that my permanent ones are Zucker, Sherb and Peggy whom I will invite through amiibo) but when the others want to move I want to experiment with a variety of villagers.
Also, my dreamies list is definitely not as big as it was in NL.
