do you ever open villager gifts?

the title explains it all! when villagers give you something like a time capsule or a gift to give to another animal in your town, have you ever opened one on purpose? or would it make you feel guilty even if it was your least favorite townie?

Yeah, I've done it a few times before because I've had the same town since summer 2013 so I need my fun. xD I've accidentally dug up time capsules as well.

No, I've never done it on purpose. I opened one time capsule by accident once and I felt so bad I immediately sent Scoot an apology letter and a gift. I like to do nice things for my villagers. That's the main reason I play the game. So, even though they're just a program and not real, I try to keep them happy.

nEVER. It's like how I can't choose the 'bad' options in other games either, I would feel so guilty! I can't deal with the disappointment of my villagers & I want them to be as happy as possible

I use to all the time by accident, but it was certainly more of accidentally opening time capsules.
I've never felt so guilty.

I prefer not to. The presents are always junk anyways, and it definitely destroys the chances of any brownie points I might get from delivering it unopened.

A lot of times I wonder what's in them, but I'd feel like I was snooping into their business! I know I'll find out eventually anyway when they receive it/ask me to dig it back up so I just content myself with that lol

i haven't opened any deliveries but i've accidentally dug up time capsules and looked at them. i don't purposely do it, but when i played city folk years ago i used to ALWAYS open them because i wanted to know. i was a snoopy neighbor

if it's not, i usually end up opening the gifts anyways bc i dont deliver them on time or i forget about them lmao

I one time opened a present by accident I started panicking and oh boy I was like what do I do. I never ended up giving it to the villager it was for. One time I did open another present just for fun and handed it to the villager that way. They didn't look very happy about that.
