Do you consider personalities when choosing dream villagers?

Alot of my real dream villagers are either lazy or normal and I find myself having to choose villagers that I don't want as much others just so I don't have too many of the same personality. I already have 2 normal and 2 lazy and we end up having the exact same conversations. I also want zucker and fauna but I can't even imagine how annoying that would get. I'm actually realllly sad that I can't have the villagers I want because of this.

In my old town, almost all of my dream villagers were lazy. I think about 8/12 were lazy.
In my new town, I'm just accepting a good looking villager move in now, regardless of personality. It makes it more fun.
Fuchsia, the pink uchi deer moved in yesterday, and tomorrow, Skye, the light blue normal wolf is moving in. It creates more variety.

The most of one personality is peppy. Carmen, Peanut, and Truffles.
But yes, I do.

1 Uchi

2 Smug (wanted 1, another moved in unexpectedly -.-)
1 Normal (and I want 2)
0 cranky (and I want 1)
1 jock (and I want 2)
1 snooty

And clearly my list will end up not adding to 10.

But for me, if I don't get Hamlet because someone gave me Coco, I'd be fine with that. I'd probably end up keeping Tipper and letting Jay and Dizzy leave. :/

One of the reasons I got rid of my dream list is because I realised that almost everyone was Normal personality, there were no snooty, no uchi, and the only male personality was lazy.

My two favourite personalities are smug and jock I would fill my town with them if I could ! That would make the whole experience really unbalanced and would take away some of the fun from the game. I base what villagers I want off looks. This way I don't really double up on personalities too much, but it does really bother me when I start having the same conversation with a villager that I had moments ago with another :/

That's why I use my 10th spot for the personalities I don't have and only keep them until they request all of the PWPs hahah.

After my second 'duplicate' personality moved in, I realized how easy it is to get bored of their dialogue, so I fudged my dream list a bit so everything is more diverse. Plus I think I like my new list even more than the old, villager design wise too haha

I have at least one of every personality in my town atm as part of my dream team, just for some diversity.. But I'll have a second file soon, and who knows what I'll do with that .. I'm swaying towards an all deer town

Well I don't have dream villagers (it'd be so agonizing to choose 10 lol), but yes I do take personalities into account when deciding who to keep and who to let go. I want at least one of each at all times, and the lack of diversity in dialogue between villagers of the same personality type makes it weird to have a bunch of the same type for me. Having two of a personality type feels weird even.

Yes, most of the villagers I want are smugs, lazy and normal and it'll be boring seeing the same dialogue from these 3 everyday.
So I try find the best looking villager in each category and choose that one. Well, Mira was a move-in but I like her

I personally choose the best looking/stylish, I don't really look at the personalities. And if you do look at the personalities you'll be getting asked for the same things from people and I'd get quite boring. At the moment, I have got Skye and Flora they are both really cute and I love them to pieces; There really the only two people I reckon that are best looking in my village and have the most style.

Not really, which is lucky because most of my favorites are pretty varied. I tend not to like jocks either way, but I gravitate to normal and snooty villagers, they're the cutest
