Do you consider City Folk only a side game?

No, it was released with perfection. Maybe though. I really hope there is another Animal Crossing before things end though. This Animal Crossing didn't meet up to its hype.

I think it's my favorite Wii game, and I'll be playing it every day for the rest of my life, but it really is only a step forward. (2.5). I totally agree with 1UP. Of course, I updated from the gamecube version, seeing as i don't have a DS, so it feels like 3.5 to me xD.

Absolutely a 2.5. It's pathetic and it's really an insult to loyal fans of the Animal Crossing franchise...there is no new content. The city is just a combination of all of the weekly events from the old games, and so far I haven't heard of any weekly events to replace them...so the city actually makes the game worse, in my opinion.

Love the game, but definitely a 2.5. I think the city and emotes and the like were all really nice additions, as well as the Pro Designs, but at the core I don't think they really changed anything drastic enough from WW to CF to make it a "3.0" of any sort.

Honestly, as much as I love it. It didn't feel like they put as much effort into it as they should have. Felt half a**ed.
