Do you collect CDs?

I used to collect CDs when I was a teenager of all my favourite bands so I could have them for my first car to play while I drove.

Now I just collect vinyls of my favourite albums

I have a huge collection of CDs by various artists. I was really disappointed when artists stopped releasing CD singles, as I loved collecting them. My biggest collection of one artist is definitely Sir Elton John. I have several albums which are re-releases and some just have a few extra tracks, but I need as much Elton as possible!

Like the collection so far? Some of the little booklets inside the cases have water damage (Thanks to my little brother) They might be hard the read or reconize so heres all the names of them starting top left to bottom right.

Oh, and I wanted to throw in what I think is my "rarest" CD :3
It's called "Pineapple Express" by Manoa DNA. It was released in 2013. It's only avalible in O'ahu Hawaii at the Dole Plantation.
There's 10 tracks on this CD, starting with Pineapple Express, Live Aloha, Our Hawaii, Sweet Embrace, Dancing in the Rain, Follow Me, If I Ever, Only In Hawaii, Dreams Come Alive, and What I Need. I think it's an alright album, the songs are pretty fun! My nephew seems to love them :3 I was playing it for him in my older brothers car with my WalkMan- Till the batterys died.. He was really upset I got new batteries when we got home tho

When did I start? Many years ago. How big is my collection? Not as big as it should be, but I'm still grateful for what I have. Am I still collecting? You bet. I don't care if CDs aren't as popular as they were before; I'll still continue buying my favorite albums on that format just as long as I have the funds!

Also, why did your dad tell you to keep the Metallica album instead if it's his favorite?

Since my last post, I got quite a few CDs; I managed to snag some expensive death metal CDs from Cannibal Corpse, Cheerleader Concubine, Dehumanizing Itatrain Worship, and The Dark Prison Massacre!

I got a few miscellaneous ones as well, but the ones I'm most looking forward to getting in the mail are Metallica's Hardwired...To Self-Destruct (3-disc version) and Load. I'm hoping to get Reload, St. Anger, and Death Magnetic eventually. :D

Also, why did your dad tell you to keep the Metallica album instead if it's his favorite?

He told me it was pointless to have a CD if you couldn't play it. I can understand that logic!

I have a few CDs, and more I'd like to get some day!
The ones I have are Chromatica by Lady Gaga, as well as Meliora, Impera, and Skeletà by Ghost
I would love to get Opus Eponymous and Infestissumam from Ghost too someday!

i have collected CDs on and off throughout my life. when i was a kid i adored making mixed CDs, and i have multiple CD organizers filled with them...mostly too scratched to even play honestly, since i wasn't careful with them. then i have maybe 30-40 non-mixed CDs that i collected mostly in middle school and early high school, and i haven't bought many since. my junior year i switched to collecting vinyls, which i have maybe 80-110 of.

Okay, I might've gone overboard and bought a bunch of CDs from Metallica, Slayer and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I love CDs and want to grow my collection!

Once the rest of my Metallica CDs come in, I'll have almost all of the main albums! I'm only missing 72 Seasons because it was too expensive. ;^; I'll definitely post a pic of them when the time comes.
