do you buy or craft tools?

It depends on how lazy I feel and which tool it is. I usually craft except if I don't want to bother going back to my house to get the wood and don't feel like chopping it. Axes, fishing rods, and nets I almost always craft.

I buy them unless it's an unlucky circumstance e.g. hearing a balloon without having a slingshot handy or wanting to catch that one sturgeon without a rod. To work towards the crafted tools achievement I cheat a little by crafting flimsy rods or nets with excess twigs then sell them back to nooklings or the trash (am I crazy for doing that? who knows)

Depends. If I'm closer to my house, then I craft, if I'm closer to Nook's Cranny, I buy them. My inventory usually gets filled so quickly, I forgo carrying materials around all the time.

At the beginning I crafted them because I was poor. Now I am just lazy and buy them. I actually stupidly forgot about the achievement. I really need to start grafting more on the achievements

if i'm lazy i buy them. lately, i've been crafting a bunch of tools in bulk and then go and just get them from my storage when a tool breaks, it works fine and helps me work towards the achievement, not that i think too much about it but yeah.

i've been buying the normal tools for a Long time now. the only ones i craft are the gold watering can and slingshot (and axe on the rare occasion it breaks), and the flimsy + stone axes. only time i craft the other tools is if nook's cranny is closed and i've used the four fishing rods i have laid out in a mini area near the ocean.

It really depends on how I feel. I have a TON of materials cluttering up my storage, so I'm trying to use a few stacks to lighten my load, but occasionally I just buy them instead because I don't feel like crafting.

Both. I usually craft them but some of the buyable versions are really cute and I'm lazy.

honestly? i just buy them. i like the designs of the tools in Nook's Cranny a lot more than the ones you just craft. i know buying obviously costs bells while just straight up crafting is free, but .... idk. colorful shovel just hits different

I've been crafting to finish that nook mile achievement. I mostly have been masking the flimsy rods and nets because they only need branches and I use them enough that they break quickly. I'm probably going to start breaking shovels to get rid of all of my flowers

I buy them and continually customize them, so they don't break. The tools from the store are cuter, plus I am lazy.

I usually buy them, unless it is the sling shot because it uses hardwood and I have TONS of that lying around. They really need to give use more recipes that use the hardwood without the other wood. I do tend to make nets often too.

so far i only buy a watering can bc the elephant one is the cutest. i imagine when im done with paying off my house debt and moving things around my island i'll have more money to spar towards buying tools. tbh i didnt even think about the nook miles achievement for crafting tools, so ig i'll keep that in mind as well.

I was crafting for a while at the beginning then I started selling turnips so I had bells to spend on things haha so now I just buy them
