Do y'all make-up stories for your villagers?

I used to, but as of right now I personally don't, but I do like seeing other people do! I'm too focused on completing my town, but I have a feeling that I'd probably make up stories for my villagers when they talk about each other. Wait...
I just remembered that Marina talks nonstop about Fang. When Mitzi was in my town, she ask her what she should get Fang. Marina also stole his catchphrase. HMMMM. (Then again Marina just stole Frita's catchphrase). I dunno what's going in my town anymore lol.

I got a few.

-Marshal is the town playboy and has flirted with everybody at least once.
-Mira likes Snake but Snake doesn't like girls.
-But Chrissy has a mini crush on Mira and nobody but Francine knows. She doesn't approve of Mira as an older sister.
-Bob is our town stoner and totally has the hots for Francine. She finds him cute, in a little brother kind of way.
- Stitches is like a child and looks up to Lobo.
-Snake is Ruby's GBF. He tries hard to keep his sexuality a secret but Ruby has the loudest mouth in the world.

I also have some for my former villagers
-Merengue hated how much of a playboy Marshal is. According to him, he can't help it.
-Gala used to be a generic "gamer gurl" live streamer until the other villagers informed her nobody pays rent in Tsuinteru. She's always get sweaty palms walking by Nook's Homes.

Over-analyzing my villagers interactions and coming up with backstories is one of my favourite things to do, and I think it's pretty normal. I might post some more stuff later when I'm a little more focused!

I wrote in-depth back stories for Juilan, Merengue, and Puck on another thread that seems to have gotten lost. I reset my town, though, so I have new animals to think about. It really exercises those creative muscles. I like to think of where they were born, who their family is, how they were raised, and how they set out on their own at various stages of life. Sly, for instance, would be early 30s, done a few tours in the military... And something else... Maybe he's a dad who pays child support or something. I'm not sure! But, on the other hand, Pashmina would be 17 years old, fresh on her own, hanging onto the gothic style that got her through high school, very shy and a bit timid, waiting to grow and bud into the young lady she could be.

I love villager headcanons; they're so cute!

In my town:
- Pancetti and Kevin are secretly dating. Lily notices them walking by each other all the time since she lives in between both pigs. I like to think Lily doesn't spoil the fun but probably would gossip about them in her diary. Apollo knows there's something going on and likes to tease Kevin about it.
- Lily and Coco are bffs and they like to mess around with other villagers.
- Apparently pocketknives are a thing in my town.
- Ava and Tangy don't get along ever since this happened.
- Stitches's goal is to be a lawyer (according to April Fools Day facts) but since he's so young he hardly has a grasp on what that really entails. He likes the idea of carrying around a briefcase (with snacks inside lmao) and constantly tries to act grown-up by drinking coffee (no lie; he said this in the game, poor thing lmao). Everyone else still sees him as a child.
- Joey and Stitches write letters to each other so they can keep up with each other. Both live on the opposite ends of town welp.

I'm having too much fun with this.

Yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this too!
I'm focusing on landscaping my town at the moment, so I don't really have time to go in depth with my villager backstories, but I have a few things floating around in my head.
For example, Marcie is totally a single mom. Like she just has that innocent type of feel to her house and it's kind of empty. And, because she's a kangaroo, she also has the baby of course. So it just all adds up in, in my head at least.

I love doing that! It makes the game more interesting.
-Kidd is the prankster and jokester. He gave me a makeup case for my birthday and tried to buy my really big carp at the fishing tourney.
-Punchy likes making people mad and doesn't even notice it. He forced Cesar out of my town so he could be best friends with Charlise. He's the town stoner.
-Phoebe and Stitches just moved into my town so IDK what they are yet.
-Bunnie is just a cheerful little rabbit who loves everyone (unless they mess with her)
-IDK about Ava. She has no personality.
-Marshal loves impressing people but can be a little bit shy at times. He worries about all the little details of himself.
-Portia is the really classy dog who just wants the world to be a nice, clean place.
-Clay is just the little hamster that no one understands. He's also British, since this was his exact quote: "Hey, Mason! While I was snacking on fish and chips, I thought of a new nickname for you? Wanna hear it?" (I say yes) "OK! Here it is! It's 'Chap!' Do you like it?"
-Roscoe is the cranky old man who really wants to be a kid again.

My 2nd town (I don't have much yet)
-Beau is the shy deer who just wants to be cool, but every time someone gives him advice, he ends up daydreaming about ice cream. It's happened twice.
-Zell is the really rich dude (look at his house) who loves looking good.
-Mitzi loves helping people, keeping her house clean, and cooking. She's all around very nice.
-Octavian is getting to his really old ages and is starting to lose his sanity. He gave me a coconut today.
-Julian is the guy you'd think would be everyone's friend but he's actually really shy.

He unlocked the door to his house to find his father drunk and mad. His father was startled by the door opening, and he threw the knife he held in his hands right at Jim. It implanted itself in Jim's head, and blood began to pour from the wound. Blood even dripped from his eyes, because the knife went so far into his head. Jim stood there for a moment, and collapsed. He was alive, but he took mortal damge from the switchblade his father threw at him. His mother, who wasn't drunk or insane, took him to the hospital. The doctors said there was nothing that could be done about it. Jim went to school the next day, and no one would talk to him. No one liked him. They were afraid of him. The entire town considered him an abomination. So Jim decided to change himself. He dyed his fur light blue, and his mane navy. He purchased some purple Elmer's glue to seal his eyes shut and keep blood from coming out of his eyes, and he filed the blade into a horn-like shape. He changed his name to Julian, and pretended to be a unicorn. He moved away where no one would find him. Every time his new neighbors find out his secret, he swaps towns. And this abomination...

Beau loves Diana but Diana has a girl-crush on Whitney. But OBVIOUSLY, Whitney likes Fang!

I have this really stupid headcanon between two of my villagers.

Tiffany and Olaf were once close friends who both had a massive falling out. While the two love acting and music, Tiffany never wished to become an actress, unlike Olaf, who did become one at one point in his life. The fact that this has happened as well as how Olaf promised her to not take the direction of stardom left Tiffany feeling depressed for quite some time. The two now live together and are trying to patch things up, but so far, not much progress has been made.

I do this sometimes to an extent, but writing is one of my hobbies so I tend to imagine stories like this constantly.

I'm not one to 'ship' my villagers, but before he moved out of my main town Bruce always gave me the impression he would have a crush on Diana They lived on opposite sides of my town, but I was always delivering presents from both of them to the other, and he was always mentioning her in conversations. It made me imagine an adorable little high school crush sort of thing between them.

Chief - A Fox with a mysterious background. He is the towns bad boy and is usually up
to know good. Having said that, he helps Booker at the police station and is the "guard fox"
of the town. He does his best to keep everyone in town safe and has a soft spot for the mayor,
Jeremy. He is a father figure towards him and is like the dad he never had. He also has a crush
on Goldie

Bunnie - An overly excited bunny that loves everything! She enjoys baking bright and colourful food and her fave colour is red. She used dream about being a chef when she was older but when she got in a fight with a past wolf villager she permanently damaged one of her paws and ever since struggles to cook but she still manges. She is however as a soft spot of chief and has a slight crush on him...even tho he finds her too annoying for his taste.

Deirdre - A tough gal that had a tough up bringing and didn't come from a very happy background. She is a trouble maker and gets into a lot of fights but since she has moved to Hillside she has changed a lot. Now settling down and fitting in with the crowd she is best friends with Chief and seems him as the father she wished she had as a kid. She works with Chief in order to make such everybody in the town is safe and help shut down the villager and turnip trade; one day hoping to get it banned for good. She has
a crush on Fauna also puts her first.

Erik - A lazy deer that enjoys the simple life. He enjoys baking and before her injury used to bake with her all the time. Enjoys food and loves to eat and really enjoys sleeping....a bit too much. Does some gardening as a side hobby and one days hopes to raise enough bells to travel to world to try food from many different places.

Drake - Very close friends with Erik and the two are like brothers. Enjoys taking long walks in enjoys the water. He has a crush on Molly and visits her often; usually reading books or sewing together. He is a bit of a dork but is a real sweet heart and is very close friends with Jeremy. He hopes to one day to be able to ask out Molly without making a foul of himself...he doesn't have to guts to even try to ask her out.

Molly - Quiet little duck that is in a book club with Goldie, Jeremy and Fauna. Molly loves crafting and will often make her own clothes and pottery herself, tho it is tricky with her wings and she often messes up her wings. Even tho she is a duck she is not a fan of the water but she enjoys the outdoors. She loves spending time with the girls and having out with Drake; often doing small hobbies with him or going berry picking.

Goldie - A bookworm that loves reading and dreams of owning her own library. Goldie is close friends with Chief and when he isn't guarding the town they spend a lot of time together. Goldie is not like her other friends and isn't as shy once you get to know her. She is surprisingly best friends with Deirdre and Goldie is not afraid to stand up in what she believes in. Goldie enjoys writing and will often write out speeches and deliver them to the townsfolk. Most of the villagers say she should be a public speaker but Goldie lacks the confidence to go speeches in front of large crowds of villagers she doesn't know.

Teddy - A big old softy that has always wanted to be a body builder but loves food too much. Has a soft spot of Bunnie and has a crush on her; but she is too interested in chief to notice him. He gets along well with Chief and is good at solving puzzles and is very strong. He often helps out moving heavy things for the townsfolk and lends a helping paw whenever he can. He is not the sharpest tool in the box but can use his brain when he needs to. He is a great shoulder to cry on and is a very supportive friend. He is a bit of a goofy ball and enjoys telling jokes and puns....which often annoys Chief...

Maple - Is the artist of the town and dreams of having her paintings one day displayed in a museum. She sees Teddy as a big brother and often goes to him when she needs help. Maple is very motherly as she used to have lots of siblings when she was younger. Maple is very picky and is a perfectionist and will often spend weeks working on a painting until she is truly happy with it. She enjoys reading books as a side hobby and really likes romance novels. She one day hopes to find a nice villager to settle down with but she has yet not found the right one.

Fauna - A huge bookworm and is very close to both Goldie and Deirdre. Fauna loves reading and she is never seen without a book. She loves the outdoors and is often seen sitting on a bench or tree stump with a book in her hooves; reading away. She enjoys drawing as a side hobby and often draw art best of books she has read in the past. She loves spending time with Deirdre and has feelings for her but she doesn't have the guts to tell her as she is scared she will yell at her. They often hang out a lot and spend their time outdoors drinking coffee or making daisy chains by the river.
