Do wishes stack for multiple players?

So if I have 2 player characters, and my main wishes on stars, will it be beneficial to wish on stars on my second character? Will the wishes stack and give me more stars the next day? Or does it cap?

When I had a meteor shower I wished on both my main character and my second, and had friends over. The max 40 fragments spawned on my main then I had more spawn when I logged onto my second character.

Yes, each individual character that wishes on stars will have their own star fragments along the shoreline the next day, so if you have a meteor shower, it's definitely worth making wishes on any alts.
