Do Wii U's come with that Day 1 update now?

I remember when the Wii U first launched that there was a Day 1 update. I will be getting the Wind Waker HD bundle for Christmas tomorrow and I would like to know if it comes installed already.

Even if it was, chances are it won't have the latest update anyways so you'll need to update it regardless.

I don't care if I have to update it. I only care if it came with the day 1 update that, according to the internet, takes a long time, and with my sucky wifi, it will take even longer... I've heard its 1GB and seeing from my experience with downloading ACNL (which is about 0.8 MB IIRC), it will take 4 hours or longer.

I've seen that around Google, but what I haven't seen is any updates on it. The only thing that comes up are stuff, which are mostly rumors, from around the launch of the Wii U. No updates since then on the topic.

Most of the updates take forever on the wii u. It took about an hour for me to download windwaker.

The wind waker bundle is great! I have one, and I love it. Wind waker is the only game I have right now, but its fun. The Hyrule Historia download it comes with is really interesting.

I remember having to update something. There have been more updates since the release of wind waker, so in order to access the shop to download wind waker, you have to download the updates. I am about 90% sure that you will need an update of some type.

Yes, there is infact an update it seems...
It says 3:16, and its been so for about 3 minutes and only reduces by the last digit. Is that 3 hours, 16 minutes or 3 minutes, 16 seconds?

Well I bought the ZombiU bundle last summer and I didn't have to download the day 1 update although I did have to update the console. So you won't have to download the Day 1 update with the Wind Waker bundle for sure.
