Do Villagers Leave Without Saying Anything?

If you tt too far ahead, do villagers move randomly without saying anything and just leave a letter like in New Leaf if you tt too far ahead.
From my experience with New Horizon, it seems to be that they have a thought bubble to trigger the move.

Don't think so. I tt a ton to cycle villagers and I've never encountered a random move. I think it's been confirmed by a lot of people other than me that they can't unless you give them the "ok" to go.

Thank you so much for your quick response!! I was wondering because I have a villager that a friend wants, but I don't want to lose one of the villagers I would like to keep.
