Do villagers give out DIY recipes based on their personality?

I'm new to the AC games and NH is my first, but a friend of mine that's been playing since Gamecube says this is a well known fact, that different villagers give different furniture depending on their personality. I'm unable to find ANYTHING that confirms this, as I'm trying to pick out new villagers for my island, if any of them have higher chance if giving specific DIY recipes then I'd rather have those over the aesthetically pleasing villagers.

I don't know, at first I had this suspicion because my snooty villiger gave me DIY cards for gold items 2 separate days in a row, but later also switched to fruit items and wood items! So I think it is random!

I haven't noticed any recurring themes from them so I do think it is random.

I've sort of noticed that they give out some DIYs that seem to depend on their personality, Hans (smug) has given me a gold candle recipe and a crest doorplate recipe which are both kinda fancy, and lazy villagers consistently give me cardboard furniture recipes too. They also give seemingly random recipes though so it might have just been a coincidence
