Do Pitfall Seeds Disappear?

I buried a pitfall seed in my town and stayed away from it. It was buried in a place no villagers usually never walk and I never saw one fall into it... but when I went back to look at it a few days later it was gone! Do they disappear after a while? How long does it take if so?

They don't disappear. I've had the same pitfall in the same place for months, actually. Most likely, someone did fall into it when you weren't there.

Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen One of your villagers probably fell into it - they don't just disappear on their own. I always keep a spare (or leave one in the police station lost/found) for such occasions.

I don't think they disappear! Like people have said above, a villager or someone visiting your town may have fell in it

Oh okay. I feel relieved then. This pitfall is part of my decoration. It's funny to think someone fell into it.. it's supposed to be a grave! lol
