i feel like it’s not a thing anymore because when it rains like crazy in new horizons, you get hybrids like crazy.

how do you get rid of your hybrids? do you just sell them? i kinda don’t wanna sell them on nooks i feel like it’s a waste, but then again who would use them if peoples islands also overrun with them. my beach is bonkers with all these hybrid flowers.

I have a huge hybrid garden i'll be looking to re-home soon if new features roll out and for winter. I'd love to sell them at some point, or even just give them away! The rate Nooks gives you is criminal! I'd still totally be into trading/selling hybrids!

i usually just trash mine! (sorry not sorry)

i'd say people are still buying some of the harder to get hybrids, but you can generally find someone who at least would be willing to take flowers from your island.

I have a hard time trying to sell them. They really do multiply like crazy in this game, so there aren't as many people in need of hybrids.

i’ve seen threads where there are giveaways for hybrids & people aren’t even biting 😫 i remember having a hybrid shop for acnl... and that was years after the game was out!

Same here, I had shops for ACNL at different times in 2015-2018 and I often struggled to keep hybrids in stock, because they sold so quickly even though the game was several years old. Now I can barely give them away in NH.

I’ve been overrun with hybrids. I used to hoard them just because I felt I’d need them “just in case” but now I just sell them at Nook’s. If I need more later, all I need to do is clone them and they multiple pretty fast

The new breeding mechanics in NH have devalued hybrids. In NL, there was a limit to the number of offspring you could have in one day, so the was less supply to meet the demand and hybrids had more value. In NH, once you have a hybrid, it's easy to make it multiply quickly. I got my first blue rose a little over a month ago and now I have over 60 of them.

pffff I mean, when I didn’t have flowers I did! but now I’d only do it for certain flowers, and not freaking truckloads of them lmao! i’m drowning in flowers ;-;

Trade? Nah, I giveaway hybrids.

I did buy some in the beginning to get started, but since I've been farming NPCs in summer, when it rains every stinkin day, they started to populate all over my island.

I was trying to trade away my surplus of pink and orange roses but no luck.. I feel guilty trashing/selling them at Nook's but I might have to resort to that to get rid of them since no one wants them :(

I'm still having trouble getting green mums and blue roses. I sometimes trade hybrids when I have too many, but my bad internet keeps me from trading as much as I'd like.

A few weeks ago I laid down invisible patterns all over my island where I didn't want flowers growing, and it has been nothing but peace for me since then. Rain doesn't change anything for me. I gave away some of my extra hybrids and I plan to just keep donating the extras until I have nothing left in the lot. If for some reason I get an idea that requires me to increase my flowers by a lot, I'll probably just breed more rather than trade for them, or find someone who is trying to donate them. I think trading in general has died down a bit so flowers seem like too much of a hassle to trade.
