Do once resident villagers visit you while working in The Roost?

I'm just wondering: if you happen to have a villager who comes to your caf?, and then moves out, will it come back again in the future? Will it recognize you or will it act like you're a complete new person to them?

yes they do. I had one. I was working there and on of the customers was one of my old villagers. also, one sat at the counter

I'm pretty sure I had them visit me during work too. They tell me something along the lines of "Hey! Long time no see! I was just stopping by! Can I have coffee with [insert favorite style of coffee]?"
