Yup! My best friend Kyia got a 3Ds and animal crossing for her birthday and she wanted it because she would play on mine or on her wild world and then i guess she wanted new leaf.

None of my friends own a 2/3DS console, nor are they interested in Animal Crossing... ;__;
Well...one of them played CF with someone but that's about it.

Do people you've met through Tumblr (And have met IRL) count? If so, then that'd be 4. None of the people I've met naturally in real life play AC:NL, if I can recall.
